Interesting thing about Perry. He plays/reacts like he looks. Like a spoiled, wussy little s***-child. He, along with about six other Ducks, can sure dish it out but they sure as hell can't take it. More than once, they tried to take our guys out after legitimate hits. Mickey's mentioned that kind of behavior with other players more than once. Sickening....

This is the other part of what I read that I forgot to mention.
-
I knew that. I just didn't make it real clear, time-wise or any-other-wise.

Seems like I read a piece about Datsyuk about when he first came here. He was very lonely; couldn't speak English at all; didn't think he wanted to be here...but he either met his wife while all this crap was going on or fell in love with her during all of that. He felt she was his lifesaver, his anchor (in a good way!). So, maybe that's part of what's happening. Just a thought.

Thanks, Drumj. I really appreciate your making these available here and I saw the play where Jackman took out Cleary. Ya know, it's really waaay past time for somebody -ANYbody - to return the favor and finish out that Karma Thing. He is SO due to be taken down.
-
I still haven't had a chance to watch the game. Did Jackman do it to him? And does anybody think it was a clean hit? Seriously, I want to know what you (all or whoever) think(s) because right now I may not be able to watch the game soon.

Yeah, I'll "see" you on Feb. 9th, but stop with the stereotyping, ahready. I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and other than that, have lived in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and Texas. Although it looks like we might end up on the Baha, my Spanish sucks, and I could respond more easily to you with my high school French. But I don't want to make you look bad, mon ami. And speaking of stereotyping, I'm a "she".

While you're noting that Datsyuk's play makes you uncomfortable, I'm wondering what it is that might be physically bothering him, making him uncomfortable. As for your reasons for your sarcasm, there's no ego, arrogance or one-upsmanship involved there, is there.

You seem to be an OK opponent-type fan, especially for a Blues' fan. But what I'm really, REALLY impressed with as I'm just certain we ALL are here, is your multi-linguistic background. Yessirreeeee....

OK, I haven't seen the game yet, but who the hell doesn't need to play better on this team? Who the hell doesn't need to coach better? Meanwhile, you have no clue as to whether Lidstrom is playing injured or not but you have found it absolutely necessary to find him Not Worthy to the point of counting how many defenseman are "playing better", while you defend other really average players against any and all comers. You "can accept decline, but not this much of it."....What do you plan to do about that? You have some healing powers we're not aware of? Maybe work a miracle or two and get some of our injured guys back sooner? Conjure up more money for trades? Be our guest! GO for it!! Otherwise, some of your statements sound really silly, puffy and arrogant.

Don't know how we could make it happen but this should be required reading by every member of this board.

All of the Above pretty much says it for me too.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Again, this is the day after the game, but Lidstrom stopped Gaborik, period. On every level. You say he's playing bad. I say I'll take that kind of play any time, anywhere. Goals would be an added bonus, but even the Rangers' announcers were raving about his play today on the re-run.
-
I'm reading these like a day later, but wowza! You be SO close on this one!!! Congrats!
-
Re: Keeping Gaborik off the sheet. They...OK Lidstrom...did exactly that. Not even a shot on goal. Helluva game!

For me, it's almost as if another era has ended. I will miss him very much. To me, he and Stevie were the heart of the Wings. I don't care about his personal past. He gave so much to the Wings and their fans and for that I will always be grateful. I do hope and pray that he does indeed have a bright future. Thank you and God bless you, Mac.

Red Wings Appreciation- Playing Thru Injuries Like Warriors
Vladifan replied to Miller Brew's topic in General
I really admire a lot of posters on this board for all kinds of reasons. But I didn't go there last night and I ain't about to go there today. Christmas is on its way, and I gotta start getting ready in all sorts of ways. :xmas: -

The other key in that regard is how quickly the lines get their chemistry back with the upheavals that will no doubt take place. In a way, I hope the returns are gradual so the changes aren't that much of a big deal. I really appreciate this thread, and why the hell not give them the benefit of the doubt and/or recognize their efforts under really adverse circumstances. Why would we want to do otherwise? Like, what's the point? Thanks, MB for the reminder. -
Too easy.

We win. Why? Ott accidently gets ice in his eye and runs over Barch. They both carom off Turco who gets inextricably tied up in the net and has to be cut loose. They quickly knit a new net. In spite of the fact that the refs call Datsyuk, Homer, Ericsson and Lidstrom for" evading Ott" (yeah, it's a new one), we get four short-handed goals because Turco gets caught up on some frayed ends. 'Bout damn time, too.
-
OK, so you're a dreamer. So you'll fit right in. Welcome!
-
OK, I'm officially jealous. But yeah, I would be bankrupt trying to get tickets to Wings' games if I lived as close as you do to the action.

You know I wrote about the crystal ball thing after the win, correct? Just checking...
