Do you realize how silly this sounds in light of you're saying the ship's "on fire"?
-
Ummm, the ship's not even burning, Deb. There's this leak, OK? But it's a large, well-built ship, and I'm thinking most of these men will stay onboard and right the ship. So, preach on, sistah!!!! Lay it ON, girl!!

Yeah, it couldn't have been the four guys in front of him. Including two of our own who did nothing but screen Howard. ...nawww........
-
...One of my favorite movies.
-
Which reminds me - I saw a t-shirt in a store that says, "Santa - I can explain.." Meanwhile, back to the game. Fa la la la la...la la la LA!..... :puke:
-
^THIS^ When the Blues shoot they have guys immediately come up around Howard. They set it up. When the Wings shoot, you are right. They don't set up anything. Nobody's screening. Nobody's moving to the net. They're just taking random shots and Mason has seen every one of them, except for a couple of angle shots. Not only that, our guys are NOT moving the Blues from in front of Howard. Other than that....

:rotflmao: Thanks again!

I totally agree and didn't even know about these stats. Also, who else on the whole team is agitating the enemy or throwing opponents off rythym at all? Maybe Stuart. That's IT.
-
Yes, we are. Don't know how neither, but they will win. AND - while they're winning - SOMEbody needs to get Jackman after at least one of his after-the-whistle cheapshots. I really, REALLY hate him and I hate the system that lets him continually get away with that crap.
-
And blaming their losing this game on Ozzie is the easy way out and way too simple. Who do you think has played well or even consistently tonight? Which lines are working well tonight? Five guys are on the ice at any given time and for whatever reasons, so far - nothing is clicking and the chemistry is not there. Nope, Ozzie's not playing well but right now, none of them are. That includes Lidstrom, Datsyuk and Zetterberg. On that note - I hope everybody really had a good Thanksgiving. I'm gonna call it a night.
-
Agreed. For once, it was pretty clear what the ref had in mind. Check the skies...
-
True, this. But they looked a little better in the second period. Or maybe they at least kept playing hard and mostly hustled. I want to think there's hope.
-
Yes, the Wings are not looking at all good. And I'd say for now that's all the bad luck they need. But these refs, along with most of the NHL refs, have the credibility of WWA refs. Cleary's skate blade is in the crease. Goal gets called off because it's "interference". Kiprisof (sp?) takes out Homer at the knees - ref is right there. NO call. And how many times have we seen at least two opponents in the crease with Ozzie - or pile-ups in the crease - and he's trying to stop the puck. Puck goes in. NO call. It is insanity. It is inconsistency at its worst. It borders on criminal because they keep getting away with their arrogance/ego-calls/stupidity/laziness. No consequences. No retribution. Like I said, it's bad enough watching the Wings struggle like they are. With the refs' calls, I honestly do not know how much more of this s*** I can take.

On Directv, for Fox Detroit, it's 664. EDIT: Me too. Just read your above post...

I haven't seen anybody mention this possibility so I'm gonna throw it on here for possible discussion. I suggest that Bertuzzi still has a whole lot of talent but maybe Karma has come back to bite him in the butt, big time. Despite the fact that a lot of you think he wasn't punished enough (me too) for his hit on Moore, I think that hit is in his head and it's not going anywhere until he reconciles his actions somehow and moves on. Maybe he 'knows' in his heart and mind that he wasn't punished enough for his actions? Either way, I think that is the major thing affecting his play. OK, I want to think that's it. And maybe the Wings - if they haven't tried it already - might get him into counseling. And, NO. (Before the Eye-for-an-Eye gang shows up...) Not to absolve him of his actions but to reconcile with them, however he needs to do it.
-
Agreed. I especially watched Z & D play together and most of the time Datsyuk could not maintain control of the puck. And yes, that's a bit scary right now.
-
Welcome, um...He Whose Name I Can't Type! Must be a techie or must be really really smart, eh?
-
^Yeupp.^ While they're practicing shooting penalty shots they can also practice blocking them and screening them and rushing the net. Without hurting our own goalie of course. :goalie1:
