Looks like as far as Directv goes, this game will be on the Hockey Network, with the CBC feed. Now I'm trying to remember if that makes it exclusive for them, or can I still watch it on Fox Detroit, if I want to. Time will tell, eh?

I haven't viewed the hit, but I think the Ducks have gotten away with stuff short of murder for way too long. And I don't like Wisniewski either, and I really, REALLY dislike the Ducks for their cheapshot play. (And the fact that the refs don't call them enough on that crap.) So, fair or not fair, I would like to think this sends a message to the Ducks, albeit probably short-lived, that finally somebody is watching them.

I must correct myself again. The Devils beat them. So there's hope for the Eastern Conference. And they play the Kings and Sharks back-to-back in early November, and the Avs and Blackhawks in early December. And Hossa's skating again. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Meanwhile, I like what I'm reading here. The Penguins haven't played anyone stellar, but that might also speak to the fact that the Eastern Conference is weaker than the WC. Until somebody in their own conference hands it to them, I'm thinking that may be the case. I may have to break down and check out their schedule to see if they play anyone on Viking's list in particular. I would love to see us or the Avs take them to somebody's cleaners. As far as there (they're/their?!) getting breaks, I don't watch 'em enough. I want to keep my TV intact.

If you think both goalies suck, what's your suggestion right now for fixing this problem? And what's your suggestion for fixing the defense/team in front of the goalie so they come to play for 60 minutes?

I'm reading this thread the day after because I knew I'd never survive staying human if I read it and responded as the game went on. I totally agree with what you say here, Loo. In the first period, Zetterberg and Datsyuk absolutely drove me bonkers with their passing. And passing. And passing!! And I can't believe ANY line out there got more than two-three shots during both those PP's. And no cycling; no rotation. WHAT THE HELL GIVES? AND WHY AM I SCREAMING AT YOU??!!

Oh yeah. And did anyone else see Lidstrom cough up the puck in our zone? Or did my eyes make that up? I couldn't go back and check because I haven't recorded the last two game, hoping it'd take the jinx off the team. Yeah, well...whatever, ya know?!

Agreed. He probably has enough left in the tank to help bring grit, calm and consistency to the Wings' game. He would also be a great mentor to the younger players, both on the ice during games and practices, and in the locker room. I'm also ready to see Maltby back on the ice for some of the same reasons. This has been a relatively great year for him so far and I'd like to see him get more ice time, in spite of the young'ns needing the experience. Sorry. Forgot to copy and paste. It sure as hell isn't the arena facilities. We watched it last night on FoxDetroit. I'm watching it right now on the Hockey Network from Sportsnet and the picture is perfect. It ticks me off that FoxDetroit doesn't see the need to make this clear in their ads. Or if they do, I have not heard it. On the other hand, we just bought a new tv and I was afraid it was the quality of the set. So I won't hunt 'em down yet.
