Lids doesn't even have to ask. Yes, I DO want to see him do that again. Gawd, I love that man.
-
Sheeeit. They have to learn to trust each other, dammit.

It's obviously just a guess, but I agree with others who've said that Zetts hasn't completely healed. I think no matter who he plays with right now, he's not going to be up to speed. But the Wings' passing really seems to be off. Could be the speed of the Hawks, but it will improve once they get to know each other better.

Same here. I was ready for someone to announce, "Everybody skate!"
-
Right now, Ozzie's the best offensive player on the ice. GO, OZZIE!!!!! Also - haven't read the rest of the posts since the game began, but did anyone else feel like there were about nine fans in the house when the Wings were introduced?! Whaz up with thaaat?!

I totally and unalterably (yeah, THAT much) agree with you and hooon (later post in this thread) on keeping Maltby in the game. It makes no sense whatsoever to take him out at this point since he has been a major offensive player for the Wings. Can't even figure out why Babcock is even contemplating taking him out. There will always be time for Eaves later.

I've checked both the NHL network's website and NHL.com to see if I can find out whose feed they'll use for the Wings/Hawks game tomorrow night. I know it's not life or death, but I have yet to get to watch and listen to Ken and Mickey, thanks to the NHL network's choice of feeds. And Fox Detroit will no doubt be blacked out again because the NHL network is carrying the game on Directv. Thanks, in advance.

How do I find out whose feed NHL.com is going to use?

Crap. I mistitled this topic. I KNOW it's actually the NHL network who's going to broadcast the game. -
We just got back from the inaugural game of the Texas Stars (Dallas's AHL team) in a brand new arena and had the time of our lives. They won it with 15 seconds left in OT. Brad Lukowich is on the team, from the Sharks, and assisted on the GWG. Was he injured and just coming back or whaat?,,,, Some of you may recognize some other names although I dont... Garret Stafford, Aaron Gagnon, and Landon Wilson, all who played in Grand Rapids. Anyways, they play the Griffins on the 15th, and OH yeah, we'll be there!

I was just looking at the program again for this game and Al Montoya (Michigan) was in goal for the San Antonio Rampage. Didn't even realize it till now. Poop! He came up to the Coyotes in April and was in goal against the Avs, and shut them out. He definitely held his own against the Texas Stars even though they lost in OT. Go Blue!

Oh. Nevermind. Live and learn.

I've experienced about a fraction of the fun you experienced being near the Wings and even talking to them, and I am VERY happy for you. Because for me it's a vicarious thing and I can't thank you enough for describing it all here for the rest of us. THANKS!!!! And congrats on the good times!!

Nope, he's playing for the Texas Stars. Our newspaper had nice coverage of the game and mentioned that he'd played for at least four other NHL teams, including Dallas. If I didn't say it before, I'm guessing he's a really great mentor for the young'ns.

The arena is GREAT. It really is an excellent size. I think it holds about 8,000. And it has a helluva sound system. And the ice looked great. They have tickets available anywhere from $9 up to $65. Other than that....! Check out their site at TexasStarsHockey.com. I believe you can only get tickets through Ticketmaster, which is not my favorite way to go. But we indeed had a blast!

You mean for the team or for us? Meanwhile, I want to think it's because there was too much pressure for the Wings to deal with in these two games in Sweden. Doesn't matter if we think that's wuss-ass or not. They could have felt it and reacted accordingly. I want to think that's what happened in these two games. ::::

Thanks for the input. s***. The Blues just scored again.
-
If they had stats for cheapshots after the whistle, the Blues would win it, hands down.
-
WhatEVER the Blooze do, I sure hope they don't put a leash on Winchester. He's been huge for us.
-
First period's over and the Wings definitely look better. SO far! And wouldn't it be lovely if the Blues kept up their undisciplined play and keep getting stoopid penalties? Other bits and pieces...Anybody else hear the comment before the game about Bertuzzi? That they hoped he'd learn to be more of a team player with the Wings. Hmmmm... Meanwhile, I'm not too thrilled with the CBC announcers, but I'm hoping the female announcer does better as she gets more into the game. Nice concept.

That was weird yesterday. But they showed a close-up of the crowd (other than the clump of Blues' fans) and there were a lot of red jerseys/shirts out there. And welcome back!
-
And as a human being, Jackman also sucks pucks. He's a cheapshotter, extraordinaire.
-
Classy Blues fan, welcome! And I also think it's gonna be a helluva game.

I think, Carman, you have a new little friend here to play with. So why don't the two of you go talk amongst yourselves? Yes, Carman - it's true the Pens beat us last year in seven games. Yes, Carman, they were the better team. At that moment. This is a new season. ANYthing can happen to any team. In any game at any time. So what the hell is your point at this point in time? If you're here to make friends, it's not working. If you're here to convince us or try to make us "admit" that the Pens are the best team in the league RIGHT NOW, there's no way in hell we will agree. I think I can speak for all Wings' fans on that one. Not sure when and where you decided to become this argumentative -especially at this point in the season, but so long, ya know?
