Ask yourselves this, kids. Can we only guess how many hockey fans would kill to be able tto be dying like we are right now? Huh?!

I do plan on driving somewhere...ANYWHERE!...so I can wear one of my Red Wing's tees and wave my Red Wings' car flag proudly and loudly!

GO, RED WINGS!! GO, SWEET OZZIE!!!

I have nothing left to do today. I can't even mow the grass even though we had a storm last night because I already mowed it. Don't need any groceries. Vacuum cleaner's broken. Don't drink anymore. AAAAAACKKK!!!!!! :colorbounce: :colorbounce:

Oh yeah. Larry Murphy says he's looked at this game from every angle and says he believes the Wings have a 61% chance of winning it. Which leaves the Penguins at 39%. Don't know how he arrived at that conclusion, but I can live with that.

Your "bad goal" thought reminded me of something the NHL network guys talked about today/tonight. That if a fluke goal is scored on Fleury, chances are he may not hold it together whereas i f the same thing happens to Ozzie, he will remain focused in spite of it. I think that's a very valid point. They absolutely have to pepper Fleury as much as they can. Meanwhile, I have this strange calmness going on right now that the Wings will not let this one get away from them. It may not last, but it sure feels OK right now.

The most coveted trophy in all of sports. The one teams have to work the hardest for. Grueling, unending battles for the puck. Blood-letting hits, incessant defense and offense and then picking yourself up one more time and doing it all over again. Detroit Red Wings - you are so damn good and you're such fine human beings. And I love you so much for what you've done for Michigan, Detroit, and us fans. I honestly wish there were a way we/I could pay you back for all the joy and excitement you've given us/me. But it looks like you're going to have to do it on your own. Again. One last brilliant, shining time for yourselves. And oh god, have you earned it. Love yourselves and each other out there and take pride in the fact that no one does hockey as well as you do. And you are a team. Our hearts, our love and our good vibes are with you. And thank you so much for all you've given us.

I thought whoever wrote that Sykora had a broken foot was kidding. Looks like he really has one. NHL network has it on their banner at the bottom. Didn't see what newspaper/media source reported it.

This one is most definitely a keeper. Very dramatic and powerful. Thanks TMI!

OR...I went on line to Stub Hub for the hell of it, and you can get tickets for $10,000 each. Didn't recognize the area numbers, so I'm guessing those could be suite tickets? Hmmmm?

Here's a fun read from USA Today and Kevin Allen. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/colu...nterstitialskip EDIT: I made a new topic out of this so maybe more peeps would see it.

Hey, Duck Guy. Good to see you again! Thanks for joining the party.

GO, RED WINGS!! GO, SWEET OZZIE!!! Put everything you have and everything you ever knew about hockey into this game. Be of one mind. Never back down and never back off. Play like you know you can. If you do, you cannot lose. Only you can make this game one of the best memories of your lives, and you can do it!

I'm thinking we're all too wired and we're trying to think of things to discuss and/or ways to vent. I've been doing it myself. So let's cut some of the OP's a little slack.

If it's at all possible he can get on, can they also petition to get Mac's name on the Cup?

Just from reading posts on this board it's obvious the Detroit Red Wings have fans all over the world, maybe moreso than any other team on the planet. At least I'd like to think so. I've also noted that a lot of us Wings' fans talk about the mental aspect of the game for the players. What about us, the fans of this team? I am a firm believer in vibes, good or bad, and I will think that way until it's proven otherwise. I really don't want to watch this game, but I will watch. And I will try to focus my mind on anything that will help the Wings win the Stanley Cup. So if you think there's anything reasonable about this kind of action on our parts - for each and every one of you who read this to think positive thoughts about the game and our players - please feel free to do so when the time comes. And if you don't, that's OK. This is just a reminder for those of us who do think this might work.

Which reminds me. Just once (maybe it's happened but I've never seen it), I'd like to see ONE call made on the player who dives and not on the other one who happened to be in the vicinity. Why the other guy gets called has been forever beyond my understanding. If it has happened, I sure as hell missed it. OK, back to your regularly-scheduled topic.

I believe you. I believe you. I only wish you were tied up on the roof when the smoke came out the chimney, declaring the edict.

Heh heh....You think it's hot there now!.... We're gonna have the Stars' AHL (?) team right up the road apiece. I may go to some games. And when I do, I'll wear my Konstantinov jersey.

As you posters in Texas know, it's like 93 degrees here right now. THEREfore and with the speed and alacrity of Hockey Gods everywhere, them good wishes and vibes are a'risin' and soarin' away on the thermals as we speak!!! YEEEHAAAA, AND PRAISE THE WINGS!!!!

The kid has taken a pounding. Honestly, I pray that it's catching up with him, just like it is with some of our boyz. And if this makes me sound like a poor sportette, tough poopies.
-
Now we're talkin' good vibes AND chutzpah!!!
-
Whoopzee! So I did!
-
Now this is what I'm talkin' about! I honestly got goosebumps reading this. Been to your beloved country. LOVED it!!! And of COURSE they'll get there in time!!!

Well then I lie like a rug because I could not watch it. My reason would be that I love my team too much to watch them try to hide the anguish and pain in their faces.
