Penguins top heavy in talent while Wings more evenly distributed
Vladifan replied to thegreat66's topic in General
He may be a wonderful hockey player and be even better as he ages and gains experience. But until he stops whining about stuff he has absolutely no control over; until he stops diving so flagrantly it's laughable, he will continue to not be the credible pro hockey player you would like him to be. -
Did you notice how hockey13playa said that yes, the fact that they're tired is a huge contributor to their play? Did you also note that he thought it was the special teams who were the weakest and that the team dominated at other times? Did you also notice that he specifically said, "Just my two cents"? So where does your know-it-all attitude and condescension come from? Who are you to put this poster down?

And you did a good job too! Your mom would be so proud of you, I'm sure. You go to all this trouble and all this painstaking detail, bolding and highlighting and coloring (Oh my!) to come here to show us where we're oh so wrong. Why some people have such a hard time staying out of other fans' business on the internet is beyond me. Especially when they were never asked for their opinion in the first place.
-
We even got an email invite in Texas. Don't think we're gonna make it, but oh gawd would we love to...
-
Yessirr. It's even more sickening than the open kind because at least they're not trying to hide it with comments that invariably contradict themselves....that come out to be nothing more than baiting/flaming.
-
Thing is, those 55 short-term fans along with their 18,000 others probably have never seen Pavel when he's even 75%, let alone 100%. They haven't been watching that long. But even if he's at 50% and can defend against Malkin, it would make my night. I'm so proud of him for even attempting to go, especially if he did actually break a bone in his foot.

UH. BTP. Could we get an answer to this one? HUH? Or do you just plan to go on ignoring pointed questions and throwing in your smiley faces with your passive-aggressive bulls***?
-
This is an absolute lie and beyond credibility. If you bothered to read the posts on this board after the game last night the overwhelming majority of them said the Wings got outplayed. PERIOD. I'm just looking forward to the end of your visiting here, acting nice, and then doing your cutesy, OF-COURSE-YOU'RE-NOT-baiting, passive-aggressive bulls***.

I thought I would upchuck when Olczyk and the boyz kept saying last night how Crosby was playing so well against all comers. As if the first two games weren't even existant and he was slowed to a fricking halt.
-
  EDIT: This was meant as a response to Echolia's response!

My son who's not really a rabid Wing fan like his mom came up with a Facebook thing, called "Penguins taste like chicken". I fervently hope the Wings come back with a vengeance and fricasee their asses. Feathers and all. :deal:
-
Agreed. And the thing here is, if we feel bad/pissed, how must they have felt after last night's game? Obviously not real good. That also speaks to some fans' reactions here. The Wings are not us. And these games and their play, good or bad, is not about us. They're about the team we root for and support. Sure we get pissed, but some of the put-downs and insults to the Wings after last night's game are so rabid, so personal and egocentric, you'd think the Wings single-handedly went out of their way to offend said poster. That's sheer idiocy, folks and has only to do with Me-ism. I still feel damn lucky I fell into rooting for this team about 14 years ago. They're a damn good team. I think the best team in the league. They had a bad game. I hope they play a whole lot better tomorrow night. As a fan, that's all I have a right to ask for.
-
Great attitude and I agree with your takes on the games.
-
If that's your constructive feedback, what must your negative feedback be like? I do not want to know.
-
We watched the same game. If you look at what I wrote you'll notice I said they didn't play well. In fact they pretty much sucked. My argument is with you and when you choose to show up here. Not the game.
-
Very well put. You said it for me too.
-
I did not believe my eyes. He could just turn out to be another Forsberg. Talented but not real bright when chooses when to dive. For that reason alone, we need to beat the crap out of him and them.
-
Gee, I don't recognize your name. Hmmm...does this mean you only show up at times like this? And might that also mean that that's how much credibility we can give your opinions? I'm thinkin' yeah.
-
Sorry, but you or I don't know jacks*** until they play the rest of the games, DO we? I for one agree with all the posts I've read so far here. The Wings did not look tonight and the Pens outplayed them through most of it. I for one will also say I hope they come back Saturday mentally and physically refreshed and beat the crap out of the Pens and shut up "fans" like you.
-
Yeah. The main pattern I'm noticing right now is that you don't change. Any time things go badly at all for the Wings, you're right there dumping salt on whatever wounds they have. I've gotta say you're really consistent there...

This just in from MLive. Booing is encouragement to Red Wings' Marian Hossa by Ansar Khan Tuesday June 02, 2009, 12:43 PM PITTSBURGH -- Marian Hossa had an amusing line this morning when asked about being booed at Mellon Arena during the regular season on Feb. 8 and what he anticipates tonight. "It was pretty loud; it can get even louder,'' Hossa said. "Maybe not many people know that boos in Slovak mean, 'Go, Marian, Go!' '' EDIT: OK, so I'm a little slow!
-
Wings will win 1-0. Puck careens off Ozzie's stick, skims off Crosby's pleading outstretched hands, off Fluery's butt and into the net.
-
I'm an older woman and not very tall. But I am wiry! Could I be a Malkin replacement? Pleeeeeze???
-
Whaaat?!! You mean to tell us that our boyz aren't pure, chaste and haven't earned the required merit badges?!? :whoa: OK, seriously. I need some clarification here. What percentage of us Wings' fans think that's true of our team? Ten percent? Twenty? Surely you have a number in mind. Or do you just want to settle for the 90% you so vehemently suggested earlier on this board? Because of course it's all true but percentages are important too. Gives your argument lots more muscle. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

This was your answer to Doggy who asked you to give him an example of what you were talking about. Do you really not know that this is not what Doggy was asking? He wasn't asking for historical data - the kind of action that happened BEFORE the rules were changed. What the hell does that have to do with here and now? GIVE US ALL A SPECIFIC EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU SAW IN THE LAST TWO GAMES THAT YOU THOUGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED ON THE WINGS FOR INTERFERENCE AND/OR OBSTRUCTION. Especially since I thought that's what this was all about. THE CURRENT SITUATION. The only one I saw that I could question was YOUR GUY banging into Hossa when he came into your zone. Was that what you were talking about?
