I am a parent. Of two grown kids. Never, ever - even when they drove us up walls or we were desperate for help - did I wish they'd never been born. There's no comparison. The Red Wings are a pro athletic team that plays games. I have NO control over them, the coaches, the manager or the owner. I love them, but not the way I love my kids. I was at least half responsible for their upbringing. I.have.nothing.to.do.with.the.upbringing.or.behavior.of.the.Wings. I can only wish them well. Or feel sad when they don't play well, or feel happy for THEM when they do.

You really, REALLY think they stopped caring? If you honestly believe that then you are REALLY wasting your time here.

I cannot help but wonder why you're here then. I'm past the point where I get pissed at these kinds of posts because there's nuthin' I can do about your attitude(s). But I cannot help but be bewildered about why you repeat your frustrations and negs over and over and over. You're not alone at this, but come on! Why do any of you bother showing up? Why get yourself all het up again? (And some of us, too.)

Thanks for putting this together, bardownginos . I also think the Wings have a good chance to pull it off. There's NO reason why they can't do it. Even without Tatar in the line up.

I think just the next two. If I read our Directv schedule here in Texas correctly...That's gonna be bad enough. But it could be worse. It could be Eddie O-my-gawd and little Peener Head.

You weren't kidding?! These announcers absolutely suck pucks. First two periods, their guys are getting away with piling on Howie; holds; Sedin hanging on Franzen's leg like he was going to have to drag him off the ice, etc; and they either totally ignore it or chortle it away. Good thing we got more than one tv in the house in case I kick the screen in on one of 'em..

Def: "INSANITY"- Doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. This team, this coach and this general manager can give lessons on how to fulfill this definition. But mostly, it's on Babcock and Holland. Until there's some real wave-making; some reality checks; some courageous, gutsy decisions about who plays and who doesn't play because of lack of effort, this definition will hold for the Detroit Red Wings.

That, too, Zetts. Filppula especially. The traffic in front of the net definitely paid off in the Pred's game.

I'm talking about their overall play in this shortened season. it is a consistent, STUPID, fixable problem They pass too much, period.

I am done with them for the night. They are scary bad to the point of embarrassment. But I have one piece of advice before I go: SHOOT THE F#*%KING PUCK.

.I was happy for them and the way they played (mostly). Stronger more consistent and aggressive forechecking and a lot of great hustle and traffic around the net. I am thrilled for Zetts. Abby played a great game especially around the net. In fact all the young'ns looked great. And passing was more crisp. Other than that, yeah. I agree with you.

Probably could have been a boarding call.
