And I think one of the reasons the extremists seem loud is because when you read that kind of idiocy, your eyes involuntarily widen in shock. So it hits harder.

I've been there, believe me! I also shoulda added "patience" and "tolerance" to my list of what would hopefully keep me quiet. Don't always have a helluva lot of it goin' on.

I'm not getting into this crap now and even later I hope I have enough sense to only respond to the reasonable, mature fans who show up here. Just as I would expect them to do when some of our idiots go to their boards. But I will make a prediction. If we end up playing the Pens, it's our defense that will be a major factor. And I'm not talking just Lidstrom and the boyz. Every Wing is trained to play both ways. I don't see a lot of that happening in the Eastern conference.

And this is the problem. No real accountability. And they're obviously are not gonna get rid of O'Halloran or any of the other refs who have been huge problems in these series. I sent so many emails to Campbell the last week or so he cut me off. And the last one was actually a thank you for the refs beginning to call the Hawks' after-the-whistle bulls***. Cry "robbery" too often, I guess...

Ya know, though....maybe it's not so far-fetched. I think Babcock is not afraid to challenge his guys any way he can think of. What if...what if he decided to rest Lidstrom for all the right reasons (except it's Game 4! ) and told his guys in essence, "you have all the talent, energy and know-how to win this game without him out there. We can't take a chance on Lids getting hurt right now because he's already tired. So go out there and do it". ...OK, maybe something like that.

Good for them! I see Mariotti sometimes on whatever that sports announcers' show is on espn. He pretty much seems like a know-it-all-arrogant prick. Other than that I'm sure he has all sorts of redeeming qualities.
