Do you watch much hockey? That was a helluva hard hit and it was CLEAN. No elbow. Did not leave his feet. HAVLAT HAD HIS HEAD DOWN. BLACKHAWKS SUCK! BLACKHAWKS SUCK! But the refs suck even more. The NHL is becoming the laughing stock of the athletic world. -

Only good thing to come out of a Hawks' win tonight is that we will get to Deetroit to see game 5. That's when they'll win it all. Yessirreeee! GO, WINGS!! GO, SWEET OZZIE!!! -
The Wings still have players on every line that can and probably will cause havoc with Hawks trying to defend them. The only line that may not score is the 4th, but even then whoever plays them has got to catch Malts, Drapes and Leino. Lotsa luck on that one. As for defense, all our guys have been playing their butts off in that regard. I think it could be iffy tonight, but the Wings can DO this and have.

I swear the Hurricanes did the same thing when we played them in the Cup Finals. They pass way too much on the power play. They waste so much time trying to move the puck rather than shoot it.

I think they're gonna surprise people, even Wings' fans. I think their opponents will be chasing them and just trying to keep up. That's what I think. OK, that's what I hope, but I really do think they'll do better than fine.

I still remember our going to a game in Deetroit and before the game started, I went down to the glass to watch them warm up. At one point, Mac was standing right next to me (of course on the other side) and as I looked up adoringly at him (OK, stared...), he looked down at me and smiled and nodded. And it's little things like that I'll remember the rest of my life.

WTF??? What the hell does any of this statement have to do with hockey??!! Could we please all just work on sticking to good ol' masculine-type phraseology to describe a pro game that's played ONLY by men? I LOVE reading stories like this. Thanks! I always knew Mac was a class act. And it's great that you got to talk to Howard too. We watched most of that game. I told husband that when one of the Tigers was walking back to the dugout I saw a Wings' jersey...a white one. Didn't see what number, but I clapped anyway.

This rumor makes absolutely no sense on any level. I speak from experience when I say that the least amount of time an alcoholic would spend in recovery is 30 days. Sixty is better. There is NO way ten days would do anything to help an alcoholic, and honestly? I think this is a vicious, sickening rumor with no basis in fact and I'm pissed that it even showed up here.

As for thanking baby Jesus, well, I'm thinkin' you just can't go wrong there on all sorts of counts. Keep up the good work. All I can add to this is it's a lucky thing for us you don't play for the Detroit Red Wings. They go into the next game with that kind of attitude, they would get their butts handed to 'em. I still say if Chicago builds confidence and focuses more, especially at home, this will be a series.
