I know this is after the fact, but I've always liked Cleary. He is a warrior. I believe he's one of the few who plays UP to his ability. He does NOT back down. He has saved two goals in the past three or four games. And he scored another goal last night while other Wings either stood like statues during power plays or made iffy, cutesy passes; or just did not play like a team. They mostly reacted instead of acting.

Ok, but tied with it is that idiot who bellows "POWER PLAY!!" with the Blue Jackets. Ok, I think it's them/him. I try to repress the whole thing.

I don't think Evilzyme is 'wrong'. He's expressing his opinion and there's no need for it to be rated negatively or positively. I'm not sure about the contact thing, but I agree with you on everything else. I don't know what's going on with him, but he is one who is most definitely not playing up to what I think he's capable of. Yeah, I know that's true of many of the Wings, but it just seems more obvious with him.

I don't watch him enough to say one way or another. But I did hear some other team's announcer say that he works very hard at staying in shape, and that he's mostly an ice-rat.

I wondered at the time why they brought Darren in. He's OK but he ain't Murph. Anybody else notice Murphy wasn't around starting two weeks ago? At least I didn't see him. It's not easy doing what Larry was trying to do, especially if you're not used to having people talk to you anytime they want to through the earpiece; while you're listening to the other on-air talent, and then trying to respond with any sense of continuity. I still appreciated him for his knowledge and obvious love of the game. He WAS the Red Wings on so many levels. And yes, indeedy, Keating sucks.
