Wrong. It's about James Wisniewski WHO CHOSE TO MAKE THE STATEMENT THAT HOMER WAS DIRTY AND GUTLESS and here we are again, arguing crap that has to be resolved (if EVER) on the ice.

Where does he talk about players getting hurt in his statement? Right now, you're fanning the flames of a discussion that should be OVER

Bottom line? I believe most of us can agree that Homer's elbow was unintentional, at least as far as deliberately trying to hurt Wisniewski. I doubt if he knew he was the guy behind him and it could have been he was flailing out of frustration. At least we can give Homer the benefit of the doubt. But when you think of the hundreds of INTENTIONAL elbows, cheapshots and after-the-whistle-bulls*** the Ducks hand out without it being even being discussed ANYwhere including the NHL, it makes this discussion ludicrous and so far off target as to be idiotic.

Wizniewski didn't help matters by calling Homer's elbow dirty and gutless. It's only made things worse. Look at what's happening on this thread. We wouldn't be arguing this again probably except for Wizniewski's statement. Whether he was justified or not, that's where we are right now.

Excuse me, on who's part? At that point in the uh...action, if Franzen tries to get up with Getzlaf literally standing over him what do you think would have happened? Know much about physics? Or for that matter, Getzlaf's cheapshots? Or maybe Franzen should really have tried to get up at that point so Mr. Hotshot-after-the-whistle can hit him again while he's off balance? And the refs? What do you think they would have done? Better yet, tell us all about what you would have done. Get f'ck'n real.

Meanwhile, if it could possibly be called intentional (and I don't think it can) it would be one payback for Homer for...uh...how many times penalties weren't called in his favor? Niedermeyer HOOKED him and he reacted. What the hell would any red-blooded/red-shirted goalie-frustrator do? And unless anyone here can prove that Homer knew he was back there (and what the hell was he doing there anyway in his condition?), the whole thing is moot. But it pisses me off that Wisniewski went out of his way to play uber-victim in a situation where he was already seriously injured and NOT from Homer's elbow. Except for the fact that he is obviously going to be OK which is nuthin' but good news.

Only thing I'd change here is Malts for Sammy. He still rattles 'em out there a helluva lot more than Sammy does.

Just read that Devorski (sp?) and Dennis LeRue are reffing tomorrow night's game. I think Devorski's OK.

And why can't the ref who was right next to that play call the center ice ref over (or meet in the frickin middle, like I care where they meet) and say, "Uh, no. The puck was right there". Once again, they're more interested in saving face than making the right calls.

It is so cool that you got to meet this guy and it sounds like a real reel highlight! I obviously don't get out much because I don't know who this dude is, but I am indeed happy for you!

You may be a nice guy, but sometimes your timing sucks. Absolutely sucks. And that also goes for the originator of this thread.

On the other hand Chelios gave the Wings two power play tries and they did nothing with them. In his own way he contributed more than some of the other guys out there.
