There's not a word in here that I can't agree with. Thanks for taking the time.

Don't know if anyone else answers this later but NO. He was off to the right - behind the net. NEVER moved, even though the "spokesman" said he was moving. It is criminal. And I hope the Wings come out swinging, pounding, passing and pelting Hiller.

And the above offering was....?....

This is an excellent letter and you made your points very well. I hope all kinds of posters read this and react accordingly. Where did you sent your letter? Thanks!

I think it's like a deep bruise??....

This is a powerful post and a creative thread. I believe another reason to calm down is that with your (OK, "our"...) anger and rage taking over, the only real thing that's happening is that we are hurting ourselves physically and mentally. Yeah, it's good to vent. But do we get back at the refs or the Ducks by doing so? Does it change anything? And wouldn't it be great if our pissed-off attitudes did affect those we rage at? But it doesn't happen that way and never will. I was in a rage last night and was screaming to the point where I lost my voice. And at the end of the game, Pronger was still being his usual self and pounding on Datsyuk and smirking away. And for the hell of it, I took my blood pressure. NOT good to the point of being scary. So I calmed down and did the only thing I knew how to do that was creative. I emailed Colin Campbell and told him I thought the reffing and the cheapshots after the whistle were an outrage. I said it without attacking, but I know I made my points. I suggest if you want to do something positive, email WhoEVER, including the NHL and any sports media sites you know of. But first things first. Vent, yeah. But then move on. Take care of your health, your heart and your mental attitude because nobody else will.

I think the Wings can still do this. And I have to say at first I was thrilled when they kept pounding Ducks against the boards and taking them out whenever they could. But I'm thinking it's distracting them from playing their usual game. They have GOT to get their rhythm going on getting the puck, moving through the zone, passing, and setting up in the Ducks' end. And they can't do that if they keep going out of their way - even a little bit - to pound away. And it doesn't really seem to be having that much of a negative effect on the Duck's game. It's kind of like having an enforcer out there. You thrill to see your guy pound somebody, but meanwhile there's a game going on and rhythm and potential goals are lost.

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. The more oxygen, the brighter red it is.

Well then that's two of us. I watched it three times. I did not see an elbow.
-
How's about we wait and see if the guy can come back and play hockey?
-
Couldn't agree more.
-
Excuse me, jackass, but did you notice he had trouble breathing when they took him off? How the hell do you know how he actually got injured? Grow up.

Yeupp. Even the Versus announcers - whose coverage was about 70% Ducks both in conversation and shots between play - said it was a weak call. I woulda run out and checked the skies but it's dark here....
-
I agree with this. We STILL have to have guys who can pass well, carry the puck in and try to do something with it. There's no way Downey or any other big tough guy can do that, period.
-
I'm typing this right as the third period starts. I think our chances are still pretty good. I think they can pull this off. GO, WINGS!!!
-
Must have been something you saw on Fox Detroit?
-
They also need to have a trailing guy coming up the ice, shoot it to him if possible and deflect that mother into the goal. Other than the traffic/screens, that is....
-
I literally started getting cramps in my middle fingers from giving the bird to the Ducks in the first period. 'Course my voice is going now too, but husband went to bed so now I gotta try to cool it. :flamingmad:

And wouldn't you think Versus would show the replay of that penalty? No way, nada. Pieces of collective s***.
-
We DO if you pay for the sports channels and this game on Versus was NOT supposed to be exclusive coverage. So those of us who have the sports channels SHOULD be getting this game. Mo'f'ckers.....
-
Speak for yourself.... We got s***sville/Versus. Period.
-
They're not giving the Ducks much time to do anything. I LOVE IT!!!
-
GREAT penalty kill. Very aggressive defense! And Hossa!!!

Good. He's an ok guy and knows his stuff. Feel free to skip this next part if it doesn't apply. Meanwhile, I called Directv again and they said that if the games were not supposed to be exclusive on Versus tonight and they're blacked out elsewhere, it's the NHL that made that decision. There had better not be a tie or OT in the Hawks/Canucks game. Feel free to email NHL.com and voice your opinions, OK? Cool.

Here's one for you and I hope it's accurate. I just checked one website and it says that the Wings away record is 24-12. The Ducks at home are 20-18. Let's hope this holds up tonight. GO, WINGS!! GO, SWEET OZZIE!!!
