Last I heard/saw was that Holland said he'd likely be in before this series ends. We can only hope...!

So far I couldn't be more wrong. I just checked to see if the Hawks/Canucks game is being shown on Ch 665, Directv. It is not, even though it's listed in our local programming guide as being available. I've emailed Versus; I've re-emailed Directv and told them if they didn't follow through on showing Detroit's game on Fox Detroit, if nothing else, I would contact the FCC. I also sent an email to NHL.com and I hope it gets to the right people. Hah!...... The insanity is that Versus is not supposed to have exclusive coverage tonight. The total arrogance is that they have seemed to do just that.

I just talked directly to a person at Directv and not only is he a Red Wings' fan, he says that THEY list the game being shown in our area on not only channel 663 (Fox Detroit) but also on 694 (SoCal). And if you love the Anaheim announcers that's the one for you. :puke: Lazer - your post was confusing because Center Ice and the sports package don't always show the same stuff and even if you can't get it on Center Ice, that doesn't mean you won't get it on Fox Detroit. So if YOU get it, you should be able to get the game.

You're scaring the pee out of me here. We have all of the above too. I went online to Directv and checked on what's on in our area (our zip code's already in there) and I checked to see whether Fox Detroit (sports package) will be carrying the game at that time in our zip code. And it's listed. And it better well damned be on that channel, whatever the f--- is happening on Versus. THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE AN EXCLUSIVE GAME FOR VERSUS. That was mentioned in ALL the game schedules that came out. Part of the problem is, Directv does not know what the hell is going on most of the time. They emailed me back about this same crap earlier and said they didn't think the Wings would be on Center Ice during this series. Jeezusss...don't you think SOMEbody might want to be in charge of knowing what's what in their sports scheduling??!! I swear to god I'll hunt somebody down and take 'em out if it doesn't happen.

There are quiet, calm days when I can still envision them doing their thing on the ice. Nobody did their thing like they did their thing. In fact, that's how I got hooked up with the Wings again...when they started playing.

Me too. I always liked him. He hustled his butt off and played both ways when they needed it.

I saw plus-8 somewhere, but I could be wrong. Naw. The first line has to start producing, and I think Babs should be willing to switch players around on the first two lines. Shake 'em up, along with the F'ck'n Duckies. EDIT: Sorry - the plus-8 is probably his plus/minus, not points. I'm SO confused...

Where do you live? I'm in Texas and I'm holding my breath on it...We get the Center Ice package and the sports package on Directv and Versus has screwed us over EVERY time. If you're in the Detroit area, I'm thinking your chances are pretty good, though.

I sent an email to Directv about it, and they don't even know what the hell's going on. Versus was only supposed to have exclusive rights to two games, and THIS one isn't one of 'em. We will see tonight if Fox Detroit gets to carry it. grrrr.......

Thought you'd never bring it up. Reminds me of the time we went to a Wings' game in Chicago. Had real great seats about 4 rows up from the ice and sat behing a know-it-all who was regaling two newbies with his knowledge. He called Cheli "scum". (Of course that's after he came to play with us.) I reminded him that that scum at the time was plus - 56. (I think that's what he was at the time...). Didn't shut him up though.

See, that's the thing I was thinking too, along with just the excitement of being there at all! That you live sooo far away that I can't even ***** about not getting there often. Meanwhile, even coming from Texas I would have been incoherent and dribbling on to my jersey. That is TRES cool!!!!

Thanks, Mike! You're right, that is an upbeat story and I like their loosey-goosey attitutde. They need to vent positively and have fun right now.
