Mebee what some of us should do instead of trying to answer this idiocy over and over is to just quote this line throughout the rest of the playoffs. One more time. So Downey comes in (as if Babcock is insane enough to do that...). Whose place does he take? On what line? How does that continue our storied depth chart, which is a huge advantage for us? And when Downey is either taken off the ice on a stretcher or sits on the bench anywhere from 2 to 5 to out of the arena, who takes his place? What the hell are you thinking? HOW do we continue to win games with that kind of scenario? Even if Downey- who really can't skate or shoot - wins against whoever, HE'S REMOVED FROM THE ICE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. The logic remains - Babcock wants to play four lines and he doesn't want to have to over-use the energy of players whose contribution to the team is on ALL levels. I cannot believe this discussion - especially in the playoffs - keeps coming up. It goes nowhere and is nothing but self-defeating for the team.

I think the confusion seems to lie (lay?!) in who bit whom. As in, who was the biter and who was the bitee. I kid you not.

What's sickening about this is that I believe there is a rule that you can't use your elbows to hit another player? And how often is it called? Maybe one out of ten times? The reality is that it's going to take a serious injury resulting in brain damage or death before the refs start taking calling it consistently. And Betts had a visor on, right? Scary. Very scary.

As you probably saw in the article, Green is also scheduled for a hearing at 1 pm. But there's a whole lot of confusion about who did what to whom and that's probably part of what they'll be sorting out at that time. Don't know why it should be questionable because video doesn't lie...?! The other word is that espn may have really screwed up on what they reported and have already retracted most of it. The only other thing I "know" for sure is that the player Brashear hit has a broken orbital bone and is out of the playoffs.

Every time I hear Setoguchi's name, I think of Tony Siragusa, the 300 lb.defensive tackle (Colts and somebody else) who now works the sidelines in football games. Then I think of him in a hockey jersey, trunks and on skates. Always give me perspective when I watch the Sharks. I know, I know. The names aren't even that close, but it works for me.

Roenick's being interviewed and said he talked to the boyz and asked them to please put themselves in his and Blake's place. This could be their last playoff try. I really hope it works. I want this series to go looooong.

Yeupp. What a pleasant surprise! I thought I'd heard Olcyk (sp?) at the top of the broadcast. I'm FINE with this feed because the other two are both Chicago. I'm glad I checked back on it. We seldom get these guys in Texas. I'm gonna soak it up while I can.

It's listed on all kinds of Directv channels including Center Ice, but Versus is showing it, which to me means it probably isn't gonna be on anything else. When 8 pm starts here, I'll check the Fox Sports channels that it's listed on...... It is on Comcast/Chicago, Ch. 665; It is on Center Ice on 770; It is on Versus Ch. 603; There are no TSN feeds listed on Directv and thusly, no Canadian broadcast. Good luck!

Reminds me of a time as Broncos' fans we went to a Bronco's/Raiders game at LA Stadium. (Feel free to pass on this if I've already put it on here.) We didn't blatantly wave or holler about anything. However the kid about 3 seats down from us was trying to open a beer can with a knife. And the can was upside down. Well duh, he cut his hand badly and was bleeding all over the place. Juuuust a little stoned/drunk? His "friends" did nothing to change that. The LA police came down to help him and a bunch of fans from all over that area threw ice at them. But the couple sitting next to us were cool and we just chatted. JLA can never, ever be that bad. Just don't taunt or flaunt in enemy territory. That's when you ask for it.

This is one of the best arguments I've seen (and been reminded of) where fighting, especially in playoffs, should be an absolute last resort.
