However, another reason they couldn't ignore it was because a ref (the one who called it?), was like 5 feet from the guy who touched the puck. Video does not lie. It can't even twist the facts, let alone take sides. -

I heard that and just blinked at the tv screen. I mentioned this on another thread but I had the wording wrong. But do you believe??!! And these hotshots are supposed to be hockey experts, most of them actually having played the game? Wonder if they'll try to cover their butts later for that stupid commentary. ....Naww......like always, as reporters they'll just pretend it didn't happen. -
Yeupp. Offhand and so far, I'd say the Wings at least know what the hell to do when they're on a power play.

What you said and what So. Wings Fan said. Who says we'd mostly react with grace and calmness under the same circumstances? NO way. And if I'm in an "enemy" arena, flailing a very large flag back at their fans I think I'd best be smart enough or quick enough to duck, dodge and weave with dexterity. You're only asking for it when you do that. Period. -

You.cannot.not.make.that.call. Hockey reffing would have been the major laughingstock of the athletic world. As opposed to the minor one it is now. Even some idiot on Versus talked about the Wings winning the series on a "disputable call" (or something very much like that). jeeezusss... -
Agreed on all counts. We'd love to get CBC in Texas. Fat chance... And I like Razor too, even if he does do the Stars' games in his spare time.

Agreed. There were a whole lot of negative-behavior tactics he could have tried and he didn't. And except for the cheating thing, he was very candid about his team's chances and very complimentary to the Wings. Did anyone else hear Mickey say that in a conversation he had with Hitch that Hitch asked him in essence, "Have you ever seen an almost-40-year-old play hockey as well as Lidstrom?" I'm paraphrasing what he said, but it was definitely a compliment. -

Somebody made the point here that Homer may have helped that situation immensely by passing to the idiot standing there. The one who'd just come on the ice. Which reminds me that Hudler sure as hell did his part on that last goal by playing decoy to Franzenstein. That was an excellent point made by Mick. -

What's weird is I thought for a minute it was Drapes that Nash beat. The second number was a 3 and he was smaller than Nash so I'm thinking it was either Helm or Datsyuk. Honestly, I can't remember who was on the ice then.
