Is Montoya - the goalie for the Coyotes - the same kid that played for Michigan? Thanks in advance.
-
As poopily as our guys played - especially in the third - this game is like ongoing eye candy. What I reeeeeally want to think is that the pressure is getting to the fanged fins and that it carries over into the playoffs.
-
2-0 Yotes on a 5 on 3. Bwuuuyyyhhhhaaaaaahaaaaaaa!! ...I hope....
-
Yeah!!!!!!!!! I watched the game!!!!!!!!!! I suggest to you that if you can, you watch that play again??????? I can count too, oh exclamation/question mark happy person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm still hoping that it's not serious and that if any Wing can take himself out of the game for precautionary reasons, it's Hossa. As much as I'd like to see them beat the crap out of the Hawks, I'd rather they'd all be playoff ready. At least, physically.
-
I agree with all your takes (again, some stuff I hadn't even thought about, so thanks for the input) but the Wings did give it up when they didn't keep playing aggressive. EVEryone but the Wings seemed to know the Preds were gonna pour it on when they started closing the gap and the Wings did let up. Or at least they sure as hell didn't realize that the Preds would start pushing. Kinda like playing prevent defense and any team that does that has already lost.
-
They didn't totally swallow them. There was that HIDeous call on our guy with about 45 seconds to go in regulation. Absolutely criminal at that point on every level.
-
All I know is I can't watch him any more when he has the puck.
-
When the Preds scored the second goal, the Wings needed to keep playing aggressive. They had to know the Preds would come after them. They did not. They let 'em do whatever they wanted along the boards, and on the tying goal, THREE Preds were open right in front of Oz. THREE. Count 'em. Unless they figure out how to play more aggressively, especially in their own zone and CLEAR THE ******* PUCK, their chances do not look good.

And that song starts with, "Are the stars out tonight..." Hell yeah they are! Lidstrom, Dats, Zetts, Hossa (till he left.... )
-
Agreed. All he had to do was lean over at the hips and do the finger thing with a pencil/cigar and it would have been complete.
-
I'm responding to this at the end of our second. Schneider tied it up at 3-3. Then ?? got a goal for Montreal and the last I saw, it was 4-3 Montreal.
-
OH yeah, there was that too, huh. :punch: Thanks for the reminder. Don't know how I coulda so quickly forgotten Poopoo going pinging because of Kronners. In fact, on my bad days I may just keep the recording and replay that bit. Yeupp, I'd say Kronwall is in the game. We also just put in in our will because of that hit. Least we could do.
-
They also said that he's now in 8th place in the league for defensemen with points. Lidstrom's 3rd, and Rafalski is, is.....mebee 5th?... Close enough!
-
This is hopeful for the Wings. Our game seems to be picking up and theirs, right now, is not so hot. To play to a 0-0 tie in regulation with the Avs is not a good thing. Heh heh....Let's hope that scenario continues.

Bleeding vein likely to keep Lilja out for start of postseason
Vladifan replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
QFT. I've never used that phrase before but your post pretty much sums up where I am on all this. And I can speak for myself, because I've stayed at those motels. OK, we gotta smile about something in all this... Right now, I do not see him coming back at all. Again, I've never hoped I was more wrong - at least as far as hockey goes. -
YOU were disappointed?! I was ready to fly to Deetroit to whup some of our boyz around the head with my purse. I'd be ok by me if we end up playing your guys sometime during this ice-related elimination bidness. Less travel for both, and I hate Anaheim on all counts.

Bleeding vein likely to keep Lilja out for start of postseason
Vladifan replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
This is the thing. No matter what caused it (and the headaches?!), if it doesn't stop, I can't imagine they won't have to go in and repair it. The scary part is the waiting and the complications that can ensue. That's why I'm thinking it's deeper than they're letting on and possibly too dangerous to try to repair. I fervently hope I am SO wrong on this. -
Bleeding vein likely to keep Lilja out for start of postseason

Thanks for the input. But if the fight/hits didn't cause the hemangioma, what do the doctors think caused it? And if it's not the fight that's causing the headaches, what do they think caused those? Thanks for any clarification. Your explanation may be clear to others who read it, but it's late and I'm tired and I'm going with that so I need more clarification. -
4/8 GDT: Columbus Blue Jackets @ Chicago Blackhawks
Vladifan replied to redwings4life's topic in General
We can always take comfort in the fact that unless Anaheim drops to 8th place, San Jose's gonna have to travel a whole lot too. I know, I know. It ain't much, but it's something. -

That is indeed a rotten thing to happen to him. The scariest part to me is that they will only go in and sew it up if they have to. Which suggests the damage is not in a good place. Get well, Lils. Hockey or no, may you heal completely. -
Hawks lead Preds 3-1 after two.
-
Please. Stop. Let it go for now. Thank you.

This is good to know. However, there was no way I was gonna come right out and ask, since I wanted that dark side of the thread to die an ugly death.

I still remember a game we went to there about two years ago. Beat the crap out of 'em. After the game, a bunch of no-neck rowdies paraded down the hall with a huge paper banner with "Wings suck!" on it. Sometimes I'm ashamed I was born and raised on da South Side. I am very glad though that Wirt$, sr. is outta there, so to speak.
