If I had the money the next jersey I'd buy would be a Mac one. He has done SO much for Detroit and the Wings. And Ilitch, et al have shown so much class in supporting him now.

I haven't read anything so this may be a repeat, but we were in the car listening to the game on XM and during the first period break, the Blooze' announcers said they were supposed to talk to either Cleary or Rafalski, but that Babcock was "livid and hauled everyone into the locker room". I haven't even had a chance to watch the game till now but the score tells me that they may have been listening? They also said that Ozzy was a tough goalie and added he didn't go down like some goalies when crashed into. Over and out.

I want to and will believe that Oz is going to have a great game. IF everyone else decides to show up. And I also fervently hope that somebody takes out hotshot-after-the-whistle Jackman. I mean, of course, if he starts something. After the whistle... which he will.

Yeupp. I'd just as soon he'd stay out for now. Even if he does decide to come back and play against the Blues, I'm thinking or would like to think the refs will have his injury in the back of their minds and maybe be a little over-protective of him if he does play. I can dream, eh?

I like that matchup. Meanwhile, I know it's been said here before by some and I agree. I don't think the Wings would have too much problem against most of the East teams. They're gonna have more than enough to contend with teams in their own conference - Columbus, San Jose, Chicago, Calgary, and even Minnesota and Colorado. The scary thing is it doesn't seem to matter where some of those teams are in the standings. They're finding ways to beat us. My other 'prediction' is that unless the D picks up their game, McCrimmon might be gone after this season.

The Wings are really gonna have to bring it against Calgary Thursday. Ericsson's gonna have to watch some good fight clips; our D cannot be afraid of being slammed against the boards; and I really don't want to see Hossa in that game. You know they will go after him, as they will Datsyuk, Zetts and Huds the Hulk. ...Among other things, like Columbus coming up....
