Like I said earlier, I don't think Polak should be on that list. I'm talking about cretins who do a lot of their damage after the whistle; who don't take their helmets off; who, just in general are cheapshot artists and mostly won't fight when it comes right down to it. I still think Polak's hit was not a hard one and he didn't have intent to injure.

I tend to agree. It was a hideous, unfortunate slide into the boards headfirst for Hossa, but he was off balance and it wasn't that hard a hit. Nor could you call it boarding. I am sitting here praying that Hossa heals fast but I'm also guessing that Pollack feels very bad about the whole thing.

Yeah I know I'm not supposed to be speaking to you, but I agree with your take. Milwwions of us here have reacted with a kind of insecurity and defensiveness that's just not warranted. Surely the Wings have some problems, but jeeezusss, look what they have going for themselves! And it was a helluva win for the Predators. Maybe never to be seen again in their lifetimes, but..... I still think of myself as in a kind of state of grace for falling into being a Red Wings' fan. They have "made my day" so many times over the years that I could not possibly pay them back in any form. Except maybe to remember how frickin' lucky I am. And seriously, Shoreline. Have a nice day.
