Uh, Shoreline. I have been an Ozzie supporter since he first came on the team the first time. I was pretty sure my twenty-or-so posts on various threads here over the last year would make that pretty clear including my most recent response to you. I was honestly commending you for your statements. You really REALLY should not respond to/insult posters if you pay no attention to where they are actually coming from.

You, Lazer and other posters keep calling anyone who even remotely supports our other goalie or wishes him well, "Ozzie Worshipers". That's what caught my attention and pissed me off and that's why I reacted to the original post. What you're really saying here is that any fan who supports Ozzie on any level (HE STILL IS ON THE WINGS' TEAM) is a "moron" or "Ozzie worshiper". Furthermore, what you also don't get is that as long as you use extremes, putdowns and absolutes to make your arguments, reasonable posters here will not take you seriously. You just don't get it and what's more I don't think you really want to. Conklin is playing great. I'm very happy for him, and what Wings fan wouldn't be? If it turns out he's our #1 goalie, more power to him. AND the team. But Ozzie is going to be in net Friday night and this Red Wings' fan will continue to wish him well as long as he is with this team and hope he comes out of his funk. THE TEAM NEEDS HIM TO PLAY WELL. If I were Babcock (and thank God I'm not) I would sit/trade/drop/bankshot Kopecky and Filppula. I agree with whoever said Franzen didn't look good tonight but I want to think that's just a temporary thing. Meanwhile, the fourth line was hot and I truly believe that an interchange/juggling of Leino and Helm with Maltby and Draper would be nicely lethal, if they're given the time to play more together.

Agreed. Even Murph was saying he couldn't see any white behind it. I really really didn't think it went totally over the line.

OK, I watched the first period of that '97 game and then came back and looked at this photo again. It remains one of my favorites of the Vlad and his Work. And now I believe I'm almost ready for the game. :colorbounce: :flamingmad:

Maltby says "Yoo hoo!" to Jonathan Cheechoo and Cheech, just like that, thinks he's Chong. Cleary says "Yo!" to foe Ryane Clowe and smokes him like Chong's latest bong. Stuey returns and dumps Setoguchi (?!) and then beats his chest like King Kong. Evgeni Nabokov does not get his rocks off and he whines to himself, "It's all wrong!" The Wings need the points so we must anoint this game as part of their mission. With Roenick, no panic (?!), take Grier without fear, this can't be a gametime decision. The Wings are such class, but they must harrass so the Sharks are booed with derision. The bottom line here that the Wings must hold dear, is the FINALS and no early fishin'! * (?!) represents known reaches for rhymes. :deal:

And this is the main thing I love about hockey celebrations. The coming-together of everyone on the ice for the basic but supportive love pat on the helmet/shoulder/back/butt. Yeah, I know eleven players on a football field would find that hard to do but I still say pro hockey's unique in that sense and I'm grateful for it.

This is good to know because I haven't watched them/him enough to know he's just as happy when his teamates score. One of the reasons I don't watch much pro football anymore is because of the showboating and what I consider near-taunting that some of the receivers do. To me, it's almost as if they're not only saying "Look at me!", they're also acting like they did it all on their own. No way, no how, NADA. And that's usually the case in hockey too. Few goal scorers get unassisted goals.

Hoookaay....I'm personally just gonna take a deep breath here and remember how I entered immediately into a state of grace when I became a Red Wings' fan and be grateful that I am not Holland, Babcock or Ilitch. :noevil:
