I am very sad and feeling deflated and it'll last for awhile. But I feel horrible and empty for those guys on the ice who played their hearts and their asses off, especially in the 3rd period. And fought tooth and nail, through injuries, to get to THE SEVENTH GAME WITH THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD. They played like I knew they could in the third period; like they knew they could. They were there for each other, like a team, just like the good ol' days and it was beautiful to behold. But those of us who are still nit-picking, still pointing fingers, still raging, like somehow THEY let you down....What the hell is that about? Get f****** real. It is not about you or me. It's about our team. Anyway, I'm outta here. I'll be back later when I calm down too. Have a great summer and please - all of you take care of yourselves.

Ok, this is the last comment I'm gonna make about your attitude toward Cleary. What you have obviously failed to notice because you didn't bring it up is that he made some stellar passes already tonight. Franzen has had ONE good play where he really hustled. SOMEbody to the left of Crawford and about two feet away from him had an open shot on the net and passed it instead. AND IT WASN'T CLEARY. You're biased. Face it. You refuse to see how others are screwing up or playing passive and you zero in on Cleary. It's knee-jerk, period.

It's the young'ns who are losing it and the Hawks know this.

Well said! Somehow, the Wings have strived AND succeeded without Lidstrom, without Holmstrom, without Bertuzzi, without Helm, and without DeKeyser. Somewhere along the line in this shortened bastardized season this ragtag, crippled, makeshift, old and slow, rookie-peppered bunch of hockey players became a TEAM. A team that has taken the number one hockey squad in the world to a seventh game. Still nobody much is talking about them with any sense of what it took for them to get where they are. It simply doesn't matter. Anybody with a penchant for sports history will be talking about this team in years to come, and they will get their due. They are a miracle of their own making. I am so very proud to be here in this moment. To savor their valor, and experience the thrills and chills at their very Trying. I love you Detroit Red Wings. Thank you so much for who you are, and what you have become. And I am so very proud and honored to be one of your fans.
