MEANwhile, Toews (?) has his stick between Datsyuk's legs, trying desperately to change his sex. But did ANYbody doing the game see that? Or the pounding on Franzen at the end of the game? Neeeuoooooo! Eat s*** and puke, boyz. And that goes for the announcers too! Meanwhile, my beloved Broncos and Teebow won, and ol' big BAD Ben is going home. My day is complete and then some.

Our guys have to be exhausted and they're playing their asses off. No matter what happens, I'm so damn proud of them.

Agree to all of the above. I just wish Babcock had rested Howie and alternated the boyz earlier. Conklin has definitely got to get some playing time to show if he's valuable to this team or not. He has my full permission to knock my doubts and fears on their butts.

I'm guessing the Wings are gonna be pissed about the loss tonight (and Babcock will certainly help that along) and they'll win tomorrow night. Then again, is it true Conklin's going to be in net? I know Howie needs a rest but boy, Babcock's timing....

I've got all my chores done. I've wished even strangers a happy new year. I've flossed. I've been kind and patient and giving most of this week. Now win, dammit! This game seems important on SO many levels!! And just think what my little corner of the world would be like if I did good stuff most of the time just for the hell of it. Go figure. The Blues' go-ahead goal should never have happened. While all the crap was happening on the boards (somewhere around 14 minutes into the second period), SOMEone was holding White's stick. For about five seconds. And there he was, gesturing with his free hand to the refs that it was happening. So the refs did the next best thing. They ignored that and called the penalty on our guy which resulted in that goal. And all the Versus boyz could talk about during the intermission was how wondrous, together and organized the Blues were. Yeeeeeahhh....

In my rule book, it would have only been illegal if he'd taken his head off. And then wacked it across the ice.

He showed his true colors (sort of a pale puce) when he had the snit after Datsyuk hit him on the boards. It's OK if he's dishing it out - especially after the whistle - but god forbid anybody touches him. WAH! WAH!!

I haven't been able to watch much of the pre-season, but when I did, Hudler did not look all that good. I'm not trying to start something. I'm mainly curious as to what I've missed, both good and bad, as far as he's concerned. And if it's bad, what are the contract-type chances he can be removed or set aside for someone better to come in? Thanks.

Thanks, troops. I watched him for a few plays in Sunday's game and that was about it; but it sounds like overall there's still hope for him. And that's a good thing.

I haven't had a chance to read all of this but I'd like to throw in some thoughts - especially about the statement from some of you that "they don't have to fight if they don't want to". I can't remember what goon or ex-goon said it, or whether he's still alive or dead, but I recently read that at least one of them said that if they didn't go out and fight, they wouldn't get to play. I know it goes with the territory of not being skilled at other parts of the game, but it is still a fact that if they didn't fight they're out of the game. So it ain't like they have a choice. The other part of the fallacy of that statement is that when guys - especially ours - don't fight or choose not to defend themselves, they're called chickens***s and whatever else is available for name-calling. So it's not cut and dried no matter how it's looked at.. And I too, find myself bellowing at the screen when a good/deserved fight is going on. I'm still hoarse from when Mac took out theTurtle. However - bottom line is, I'm not exactly at my best when I'm doing that, am I? And yes, I'm talking to myself on that one.
