Why couldn't Whoever have thrown that octopus at the Hawks' announcers?
-
Then again, did you see Hossa fan on a shot toward the net? OK, so when we're desperate we have to look for little, bright moments...
-
He absolutely drives me nuts with his inconsistent play. And yeah, even MORE than some of the others' inconsistent play. He's obviously got what it takes to be a force and he will not come through - for whatever reasons.

Howard is the least of our problems. Start with Babcock, McCrimmon, et al - who no longer seem to have ANY idea how to make a team out of good players; go to the defense AND the offense who have forgotten how to instigate play consistently and/or to think ahead; go to their innards where there seems to be an insecurity so deep-seated they've forgotten how to play like a team. They simply don't seem to "know their place" anymore and that starts with the coaches. The ONLY highlight right now in this whole cesspool is that if the Hawks make it in, they'll probably have to play Vancouver. OH, how I hope that's true.

Wow. I smiled for the first time since this dumbass game started. Thanks.

I cannot tell you how much I hate Versus. Even though we pay for Center Ice and all the sports channels, we in Texas get the goddamn Chicago announcers AGAIN. And they are frothing at the mouth and would be even if the Hawks were the ones who were behind. I AM SO ******* SICK OF NOT USING MICKEY AND KEN AT OUR OWN HOME GAMES ON VERSUS. I hope espn gets into the act REAL soon. :ranting: :battle: :punch:

,,,And Franzen. And Modano. (juuuust a little tiny edit there... )

I was born and raised on the South Side, and this is hilarious. BaDum CHHHHH!!!
-
Thanks for putting these on here, Drumshanbo. Even the Vicarious Thing is fun!
-
Got it all figured out. The Notre Dame goalie (they're playing Minn. Duluth right now) is (so far) losing. Thing is, he's from Pittsburgh. We all know how we hate Pittsburgh. So it figures that if Notre Dame loses (even with Sheahan playing), we win the Cup. Get it? Got it? GOOD!!

I like all three of them and I miss them. I still remember the espn hockey theme song, with Thorne and Clement coming up. Goosebumps every time.

Yessirr. Whenever! NOW would be good.

..."Imagine there's no heaven"...

Did you say a SHUTOUT for Ward? Gee, I hope not.
-
Yes, please. I want to go with that. He's OK but Babs is resting him.

Welcome, Wingsfan89! The more the merrier. Or at least more interesting! And Dobbles, I hope you have a blast at the game!!

On our Directv in Texas, the Tigers are on the regular FSD channel. The Wings will be on Ch. 664, (as opposed to 663, the regular one) but we are lucky because DTV offers it also in HD.

I wouldn't mind at all if Dallas won out. It would certainly affect Chicago's chances, which is just fine by me. Also, Anaheim plays the Kings twice and San Jose once, so it doesn't look like easy pickin's for them. It's gonna be fun watching all this play out. I still say if the Wings play focused and the way we know they can, "we" can pull this off!
-
Chicago plays: Montreal tonight; the Blues Wed.; Us, Friday and Sunday. San Jose plays: Anaheim Wed.; Phoenix Fri. and Sat. Preds play: Atlanta tonight; Columbus, Fri.; and St. Louis, Sat. Coyotes play: LA, Wed.; and SJ on Fri. and Sat. From the looks of these lineups, Preds have the easiest schedule. But what it all means I have NO idea. Except that if the Wings are on and focused, they can beat anyone. :deal:

Love your phraseology. THANKS.
-
I like our odds. Some other real interesting matches in there too. Thanks!
-
So. If the playoff started today, is it true we'd be playing Anaheim?
-
It's too bad they didn't get the fifth goal. Should have been handed to them to make up for ref's criminal non-call.
-
Let it be said here. Ericsson is having a good game. Good for him!
-
I think I can speak for everybody here in hopes that you have a GREAT time and the Wings win!
