Nobody's gonna see this post because it's so far past the event, but they were indeed mostly on their knees. They were playing desperate and stoopid in the last few minutes of the game. Letang went berserk more than once. Neal should have been penalized for chocking Helm while he was down in front of their net. The main thing we noticed through at least half the third period was that Babcock kept the Wings' shifts very short, trying to take advantage of the Poopyjammer Pens' poopedness. It almost worked. And Modano had a great third period along with of course, Helm and Flip. It was great to see him rev it up. We were there and we don't feel like we got screwed, even coming all the way from Texas to see it. Bet yer buns. No way in hell I would have left that contest. Yep, it took them seemingly forever to get going, but I was proud of their effort.

Yes indeed, this is sweet. Thanks for putting it on here. What does it say (other than "sweet") and who signed it? Thanks!

We were there. That little tad was one of the highlights of the game. Even the Canucks' defenses were down when he skated by them. What a cutie! At one point he started going the wrong way back to the opening and Lids (I think) turned him around and sent him merrily on his way. Oh yeah, CONGRATS to Ozzie and his wife! LOVE that man. Hope he returns soon.

Hell of an idea. I do watch that puppy about once a year. Ah, the memories. Can't decide whether the 2002 playoff-butt-kicking of Wah or THIS one is my favorite. Then again, who says I have to choose?
-
Hopefully, not in Texas! They're listing Caps and Canadiens here at 6pm CT. If it were on, I would ONLY be able to watch it on there. Fine by me that it ain't!
-
Not from me, it ain't. I'm from the South Side of Chicago and those idiot fans embarrass me with their stoopid bleating. I am totally with you on this. I've already thought about it - that I've got a big mouth and that s***head Cooke needs to hear from me.
-
I don't agree, partly because Franzen isn't 40 years old - but I appreciate your taking the time to respond.
-
Me too! We're headin' out to Deetroit to see both the Penguins and Canucks get their beehinds handed to them on a tarnished platter. Not asking too much, I don't think...?
-
Loved the way he grabbed Fil from behind so he couldn't defend himself against Nash. Should have been a call, but neeeeeuuuuuooooooooo....
-
Aye, laddie! THOSE were the days! THANKS.
-
If you feel this way about Modano, I'm curious about what you think of Franzen's play.
-
Yes. Thanks.
-
Great game where every Wing looked focused most of the time. One of the best they've played in a while. I'm thinking Modano is about due. He is playing hard out there and he's earning it as we speak.

HE'S BAAAAAAACK!!! God, I am ecstatic for him!!! EDIT: Sorry for the repeat!....

They do that a lot. I'm sure they've used our announcers for our home games but I can't remember the last time it happened. In fact I tried to email them about it recently when they pulled this s*** before, with no luck. So much for being responsive to their audience. NHL network does better in this regard.
-
Let's hear it for a helpful post! Thanks, Xitium.
-
Not me, babe. I find the only thing I know for sure here is which responses are helpful and which ones are just plain ego-flaunting.
-
Agreed. He started out that way, like he was pushing. But then I swear you could see him focus more on shooting at the net rather than passing. AND IT PAID OFF! I am so happy for him!

The thing that hasn't been brought up enough is the extent of his injury. Did I not read that the tissue had pulled away from the bone or something equally serious? The guy has heart and grit and is now ready to come back to try to help his team. Both goalies have my vote and total support.
-
It depends on where you live. We won't get FSD in Texas. Bah. Humbug.
-
Thank you for mentioning that. He is a hypocritical piece of s***. He can't play anymore so he grabs the spotlight however he can.
-
Somebody take a picture for posterity!
-
And when you know what both of them are capable of, it's scary, frustrating and sad.

Mickey seemed to think it was because nobody else was out there to take the man. They both suggested Zetterberg needed to clear that puck. So for once, it might not have been Ericsson's fault.
