After watching a ton of basketball the last two days, I'm thinking they should install a 35-second clock in hockey, meaning that the WINGS have to shoot AT THE NET before that time is up. It either has to hit the goalie or the net frame. Then they get a new 35-second clock. ANYthing to get them from passing so damn much.

Yeah, why? I don't see a whole lot of logic in playing Jimmeh back-to-back. Not a good thing for future games if he gets a fatigue-related injury.

I'll be satisfied if Bertuzzi and Franzen find something other than first gear waaay earlier in the game. I'll be grateful if Datsyuk and Zetterberg both start passing with more focus. I'll be thrilled if the Wings somehow find a way to zamboni Jackman.

When two of your best players make passes that are lazy and/or unfocused - especially when the defense isn't that good at the time - then they might indeed, be in deep doodoo. Both Datsyuk and Zetterberg made too many wayward, unseeing passes. I don't think they resulted in goals but it burns energy the team shouldn't have to use, trying to retrieve the puck. That, and better DEFENSE.

We lived in Glendale for three years. Nice to know that "nowhere" hasn't changed much. It was 113 degrees when we moved from Colorado. I do NOT miss it. I'm guessing every fan has to hold his own portable air conditioner to help the ice conditions.

I would ask you and others not to refer to female body parts in a derogatory way when talking about hockey. Women have nothing to do with the men's teams except to support them. To use words like you used (more than once)is totally unassociated, hurtful, offensive, demeaning and actually pretty adolescent because those words are not related in any logical, reasonable sane way to men's hockey. So please stop doing it. Thank you.

The Kings' feed had a way better picture of Stoll's penalty than the Red Wings'. Wings' didn't even really show it. That's what was so silly about Stoll's response. Or else what he saw was the Wings' shot which showed nothing.

I certainly hope the pain in his/her butt is worth it. Then again, maybe 'they' will be standing up and cheering so much it won't be a problem.

Yep. He's quickly moving up my list of favorite Wings' players. He never lets up. Pee on Perry's lower body injury. Why couldn't somebody hunt him down like a dawg and kick the s*** out of him anyway? Then again, he's probably hiding from Datsyuk.

What I don't understand is that fight was all over in a hurry. Mostly because everyone was either writhing around, going down, or the refs were intertwined. How do you start swinging under those circumstances? I didn't see much of a chance for anyone to get going. What'd I miss?

We win. Don't know the exact score, but Cleary, Homer and Zetts score. And if Franzen does what Babs asked him to (get away from the perimeter) he could do something positive too. Sounds good, no?

I hope he thinks about writing a book. Probably wouldn't sell well enough, but I'd love to know who those players are he thinks have no respect for the game.
