Great interview with McCreary. I remember watching him at a game after the Star Spangled Banner played, and he just stood there looking up toward the ceiling for about 20 seconds. Don't know why he did it but if anyone would have a class motive behind it, he would. He will be sorely missed.

I've been thinking for some time now that those who wish the Wings had more enforcers/fighters are rooting for the wrong (type of) team. It will never happen as long as most of us are alive. The Wings are a puck-possession team and do mostly very well at it, thankyouverymuch. So, if one wants more fisticuffers on their team, why not root for the Flyers, etc? Can't quite figure that one out. And it's not enough to say one would settle for one or two. It's not happening now and it probably won't be any time soon. So I guess I'm saying if you're a Red Wings' fan why even keep bringing it up? I love this post. Thanks.

That whole play was one of the best I've seen in a long time.

I believe when at all possible you try very hard not to clear the puck up the middle, whether it be in the air, or on the ice. Rafalski is a fine defenseman but he is often a bonehead at clearing the puck.

Probably stress-related (Duh!), as in ulcers, colitis, etc...?

The only reason I can think of to keep Kindl in is to give him more experience? Don't know about anybody else but right now, I think Salei is an all-around better defenseman. EDIT: Me too. I had not heard about Salei going home. Never mind.

Thank you. I didn't watch this game and only saw...um..."highlights", but I kept thinking that the least they could have done is hold off on Cooke's suspension. At least till after this game. OH, how I would have loved seeing him get pummeled.
