End of the second and Zetterberg for one, is playing his ass off. Franzen and Bert are playing hard and so is Cleary. Hudler, not so good. I think they're playing better than at Ottawa, but the puck is definitely playing tricks on them.

Is Boll still the head hunter he used to be? I haven't been following them that much. If so, I hope Happy's ready to take him on.

I'm more worried about tomorrow night's game with the Preds. They are up and coming. Not good. They gave Philly some fits last night. And of course, we play back-to-back games.

I can't remember the last time I watched a Wings' game where it was this painful. Literally. And I managed to chase both dogs out of the room with my bellowing, so their ear drums are probably shattered, too. :flamingmad:

Totally agree. They all react more than act. They chase rather than cover their man. And because of the imbalance (it ain't like the opponents don't know that they do this) guys are left open to do what they damn well please way too often. As for Lidstrom, he gave up the puck for either goal 3 or 4. Scary business.

I saw this live, and it was indeed a stupid move. No matter how Prust sold it, Staal deserves to be penalized big time for this. And Mickey Redmond agrees with me. The over-reaction to clean hits is idiotic and should be taken out of the game.

When can he try again, if ever? And I assume Snow would still have rights to him? So if that's the case, probably never...?

Never been to Lafayette Coney Island or Nemo's but they both sound like fun. We fly in from Texas, and last time we took a cab instead of renting a car and we stay at the Greektown Hotel - and Casino, of course! Best place to lose your pennies/nickels. We also highly recommend the People Mover. We take that everywhere. It's especially fun on game days. We've eaten at Hockeytown Cafe every time but the last time. We walked four blocks in 20 degree temps only to find it closed for a gathering. But the food's still good there. As for the bathrooms at JLA - we've been to about six games there over about four years and I don't recall them being gross, ever. And I'm kind of a neat freak. Go figure! HAVE FUN! GO, WINGS!!

Don't agree. I thought it was great and the harmony was just right. Even their passing in the first period looked way too familiar.

I also noticed that Backes was picked waaay late in the draft last night. And this, after all his big talk about how many players on the draft roster that he took out. I did get a kick out of him saying something about Lidstrom....that he wanted to hit him but couldn't catch up with him...? Anybody else hear that or did I wishfully make it up?

Swell. Now my blood pressure's back up. He is my least favorite player, ever. He is hockey's black hole, except after the whistle when he really comes/knee-jerks alive. He talks like Dr. Strangelove and arm-wise, he's about as spastic and uncontrolled. He.has.accomplished.s***. He deserved that trophy as much as I would have, and I've been on skates (mostly double-runners) about five times in my life.
