If we (OK, I...)go with the theory that the third and fourth lines actually do play in another gear (and subsequently usually force the deefense to play up-speed), then perchance Babcock should play those two lines more - even starting the game with them, and letting them play more the first period. (Maybe he's already doing it and because of my frustration, I don't see it.) Yeah, I know - you take the chance of lack of experience making things even worse for us, but it sends two messages. Play harder and faster and more focused in the first period; and if you don't, you may sit longer than you might wish for. I swear, if this s*** keeps up, they're going to have to try something dramatic and drastic, especially in the first period.

In the first two periods, it was mostly the veterans screwing up, and only a few screwups by the young'ns/newbies/rookies. THAT'S what's scary. Bert, Rafalski, Kronwall, Draper, etc., etc., etc.

One of the main steps in 12-step programs is to work on one's resentments, because they're pretty much anti-matter. They only eat at YOU, and the other guy goes blissfully onward, not the least bit affected by our self-destructive thoughts and/or statements. I, for one, am gonna work on that with him. I'm sick of him being in my life in any way, shape or form. And I'm the one who invited him in. Enough, ahready!

Meanwhile, there are some announcers lie like rugs about what's happening on the ice. Especially if it favors their guys. And yeah. PLEASE keep bitching about his game, OK?!

EXcellent news! Especially about Tatar. My prediction is that if the Wings stay at least even in the standings, our third and fourth lines will be responsible for a lot of the aggresive, upbeat play that keeps them there. I LOVE watching them on the ice. GO, SCRUBS!!!

Agreed. He started out well last night. He was actually shooting the puck at the net instead of trying to pass it at impossible angles. But then he seemed to revert back to his ol' pass-happy self. Then again, I didn't think Filppula looked all that good, while other posters were raving about him. I can't remember a time when he actually held on to the puck through the neutral zone, at least through the first period or two. Whadevah!

Both the third and fourth lines seem to shift into another gear. I LOVE watching them out there! And with the Avs' speed, it was sure as hell helpful. Not just timely enough, overall.

Gee, the Avs are a perfect 13-0-0 if they're leading after two. Isn't that kind of like a SHUTOUT? The A-hole Avs are holding all over the boards. NO calls.
