Yessirree, they do/did have most of their guns in and our kids didn't bother to take a whole lotta crap from them and managed to give some back to them too. Fun game. Really!

I like the way our kids are playing. They're obviously unorganized and not always playing like a team, but they're choosing to stay loose. It's like, "OK, that didn't work so well, so what the hell, let's try this". They really don't seem to be in awe of the Hawks. And it ain't like the Hawks are playing all that smoothly either. Chances are they won't win this puppy but it's been fun to watch. SO far.

Ozzie's looking great and the first period went surprisingly well for our guys and they don't look all that intimidated by the Hawks' hotshots. Except for the goal of course. Kane should have gotten a penalty for crashing the net, but neeeuuuooooo. A-holes. Meanwhile, I know I don't have any control whatsoever about comments made about any of our players - in this case, Ozzie...but I'm really happy to see posters taking the time to respond about how well he's playing so far tonight.

Aha! With Turco in net we at least have a chance. Seems like the Wings have had his number for forever. We are in his head and hopefully the trend continues tonight.

Can't say he won't get a workout. Maybe Babcock does have something against him!

All I know is it'll be on in Texas on the NHL network. Meanwhile, I was doing drudge-type stuff this morning, thinking about feeling really bad for myself. Till I remembered the WINGS ARE GONNA BE ON THE TUBE TONIGHT. And my little heart soared just thinking about it. It's kinda like the NFL ads. All's right with the world after all. At least through tonight.

I agree with this. I did even when it happened. There are very few players who are really consistently vicious out there. Or consistently stupid. Whichever comes first.

If it was true that he didn't want to fight because of what he did to Moore (?!), maybe now he'll realize it's OK to flail away for your friends... That serious injury isn't necessarily a part of such defensible action.

Correct. We live about 30 miles away from downtown Austin. We love it here, and I wasn't sure I would. Good ol' boyz and mesquite didn't sound like too much fun. But there's a lot going on around here, even if you're not a football fan. And yeupp, I haven't read Loo's post yet but she does live in Austin; and I don't go to bars as a rule, but I know even where we live they have sports bars. WELCOME!! Betchyer buns, girl.
