Awww. I feel bad for you. {{hugs}}

Wow, Matt - we thought you were pretty unique to begin with, but you just haaad to go for something bigger, eh? I am SO glad you're feeling better and that they figured out what the hell was going on. That is indeed great news! Take your time healing up, OK?

FSD's John Keating offers his condolences to Sid and the Penguins.

Methinks he writes better than he talks. Probably because he takes the time to think about it. -
Yes, but you didn't. (*see later though indirect response.) It's cool of you to deign to lower yourself for any of us, but honest. It's not necessary. Really. I am fine with the fact that you're not comfortable with this thread. But when you keep trying to prove you're right by insulting and attacking, you already lost. So why are you still here? What do you plan to do about the 'forum tanking'? Specifically? Creatively?

Naw, you're not defensive about any of this. The name is Titanium2, name-caller, personified.

I woke up with a smile on my face because all I know this very minute is that chances are diminishing that I will have to watch little Sidney score one of his very few playoff goals again and again and again while SO many other playoff hockey players deserve SO much more credit and accolades. Like playing hard in spite of multiple stitches in their leg while being pounded on by goons for no reason. Like working their asses off to score goals while coming from an 8th seed to beat supposedly the best in their conference. And as bad as the Wings played, not once did I see one of them pounding on the backs of their opponents when they lost - like whiny-ass little losers. I.WILL.NOT.MISS.HIM. Yessirr. ^THIS^

We had a chance to watch him play about a week ago here in Texas, and if anything he looked thinner and in better shape than before. You could tell the kids on the Wolves' team listened to him and respected him. He was like another coach, but on the ice. At one point during the warm-up he stood on one side of the ice and shot pucks to a kid on the other side and then watched him shoot toward the goal. At another time during the game their team screwed up and he just shook his head skating off the ice. I can't recall a time during that game that he looked out of position or didn't do what was required. He wore #7 instead of #24, but there was no mistaking his presence on the ice. He has set a standard for defensemen/hockey players that will be very hard to live up to.

I just got home about a half hour ago. Recorded the game, haven't watched the second and third periods, but I just LOVED what Crosby had in store in the first one. And OH gawd, was it a treat to watch! YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! :colorbounce:

I'm not sure I agree that Flip is a tweener. I still think he has great potential and I think it was evident during the playoffs. But even if it were true, what team is going to give up a good scorer for him?

And here I was, trying to think of something nasty and totally unrelated to say to our little Pits posters. Then you come up with historic facts, The Logic Thing and a 2x4 between-the-eyes-argument. Thank you for being a Red Wings fan.

Thanks. What an unadulterated piece of s***. Thanks to you too, mj.

Was that the fight along the boards? Versus showed jack and I may have missed it while watching the Tigers. What did he do this time? Thanks.

I've seen posters joking about calling the NHL the WWE. Ya know in a way it is like that. The refs have helped make the Penguins and Crosby the villains of the league with their calls. They're the bad guys now. I'm not sure that's what Bettman and Whoever had in mind by hyping them to the sickening, obscene levels that they have. Makes my night just to think about it.

There just might be such a thing as a hockey god because in spite of really iffy calls, the Penguins have had three iron shots and the score is now tied. I.HATE.THE.PENGUINS and everyone who is tied to them. I want to see that placid look on Bylsma's face crack into a million pieces. I want to see Crosby go postal. Again. I want Cooke to knock himself out of the game. Whatever it takes. Don't know if it's fixed but the Penguins continue to get the calls. That part absolutely sucks. And it's now 3-2. LET THE SUNSHINE IN!!!

Yes. This.

I loved reading this thread. I'm not only proud of our team and what they accomplished, but I'm proud to know you fans/posters who took the time to show up here and tell it like it is. And to show you're keeping the faith. You've all said it in different ways. NObody expected them to get as far as they did. We all experienced and shared the joy of their wins, the hurt when they lost, and the anger and frustrtion at outside influences. Now, other than waiting to see how it goes in the summer and into the fall, I'll be looking forward to that day when posters like Mindfly, Nero and Kronwallcrunch get out on that ice and show us how it should be done.

I have to get up early tomorrow morning, but I just want to say so long for awhile to those of you've taught me stuff, who've made me laugh, and who've stuck by this team. For those of you who will proceed here to rip and tear and say they played with no heart; or they should have played much harder, you can stick it sideways and rotating. I feel nothing but disgust for you. This team pretty much played their asses off, and not many of us expected them to get as far as they did. I love them and I feel so very bad for them. Later.

What was he pissed about?! Anybody? ANYBODY?!
-
Anybody hear how Flip is doing?
-
A good example of this is right before the Bertuzzi hold. Whoever was grabbing our guy along the boards with his loose arm. NO call. Right before the Bertuzzi call. JUST CALL IT FRICKIN' EVENLY. THAT'S ALL WE ASK.

What was he upset about? Thanks.
