I don't know if I told you all last time or not, but I like the Wings a lot, and consider them my second team. I do WANT them to lose to the Sharks, and want the Sharks to win the Cup this year, no doubting, but I was also solidly on the Wings bandwagon in 2007 after we lost to them, and that loyalty tier hasn't changed. Right now, the Sharks are my second team - at least in the playoffs. You and 'your people' who are visiting here are class acts. What a refreshing change!

You are NOT alone. They almost have to be the Hawks' regular announcers, but I don't listen to them so I don't know fer sure. But they are definitely biased, as in talking about trips that should have been called on Vancouver and ignoring Butflaggin, etc and the Hawks' cutesy little antics.

Anybody think Vancouver has a chance against the Hawks? I certainly hope so! I just don't know their history well enough, except for the Bad Blood Thing.

I got an email response from Directv. The games WILL be on Center Ice next Tuesday and Thursday, at 7:30 our time. Since it still isn't listed on our schedule, I also checked it online at Directv.com/nhl and there it was!! :colorbounce: The Detroit feed will be on both 771 channels. Whee! Whooopeee! Life is good.

Interesting points. As talented as Forsberg was I never had much respect for him. I perceive diving as cowardly, devious and unmanly. SO much against what this sport is really about. I don't have hatred for Setoguchi (because the refs are partly to blame), but I don't trust him to play a straight-out game without being cutesy.

Yeupp. We're near Austin and we have Directv and Center Ice. Center Ice hasn't shown crap since the playoffs began. Or if they did, it wasn't anything I wanted to watch. FSD is blacked out here when the game's on Versus. It better the hell be available on FSD if they don't START showing it on Versus. Like I give a s*** about them anyway. I HATE being a captive audience of theirs. OH, I hope to hell you're right. For Tuesday, 5/4, Versus shows a ONE HALF HOUR FEED of the Sharks/Red Wings game. There are NO listings here on Center Ice, and the Tigers and the Twins are playing on FSD, AND FSDa. s***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with your second part. However, because Setoguchi obviously sees no problem with blatant diving, his intentions will remain questionable and suspicious.

All that's possible, but as I recall it (without replaying it) Setoguchi's stick hit Franzen in the face, and I don't see how his stick could have been perfectly still. Maybe tomorrow I'll have time to check it out again. Thanks for your reasoned response.

I felt the same way during the game and feel even more calm now that it's over. They came out and played their asses off, considering the fact that they had a 48-hour turnaround. The Wings withstood a real onslaught, not only from the three goals, but the refs too. I'm proud of the way they played for most of the game. I still think the Wings will win this series. Cleary's in the game now, and so is Franzen. The Wings can DO this.

Gotta be. Can't see how it could be much worse! But I am keeping the faith. GO, WINGS!!
