I'm trying to catch up here but I'm only on page 20. HOWEVER. In spite of the fact that "Razor", the Versus announcer says the first period was the Coyotes' , I have not seen the Wings look this good as a TEAM in a long time. Their speed, their hustle, their swarming to the puck, their energy is just outstanding. And wasn't Aucoin (sp?) in the penalty box on two of our PP goals? NOW who is a loser, Adrian. YO, ADRIAN!!! The call on Ericsson was absolute, unadulterated bulls***. I almost lost my voice on that one. I'm sure peeps like Mindfly probably think Stewie could have gotten a better angle on his goal, but what the hell... I AM SO DAMN PROUD OF THEM!!!! Keep it up! Don't let up, boyz!

Maybe I'm re-writing history in my head but I think the Wings have pretty much played better when their backs were against the wall/boards. The Coyotes as a team have never known this kind of pressure. The Wings have and more often than not, they've succeeded. I have no idea what their guys will draw on for inspiration tonight (Doan?), but our boyz have a ton of wondrous history to draw from. All kinds of models of courage, playing with injuries, grit and intensity that can get them through this. I love you, Wings. Now love yourselves and understand what you represent. (Michael Wilbon called them "royalty" today. For once, I agree with him.)

I couldn't agree more about playing our hearts out. But I repeat. The Coyotes will (hopefully) take an inordinate amount of penalties that hopefully will be called and the Wings have to take advantage of them. And I still say the pressure is on them more than us.

This is what I'm hoping will happen. The pressure is mostly on the Yotes because of home ice. And they're almost franchiseless. What the hell?! They probably will get penalties and our boyz just HAVE to take advantage of them. OF COURSE the Wings can kick their asses. They just have to play like they know it. s***.

I think your reaction is logical. For me, it depends on what I feel bad about and what I choose to do about it. We all complain. We all feel bad for ourselves sometimes. I just get defensive when people TELL me what I should be feeling. I do best when I realize what I have all by myself because that means (I think) that I'm aware of what's really going on and I am experiencing some perspective. And hopefully, some growth. Whoa and wow! What a concept.

It's time to remind myself that there are thousands of hockey fans out there who would kill to be experiencing the near-hysteria feelings I'm having right now.

I'm not sure I want our guys to play your guys, but right now your guys are my favorite other team. Of course if your guys start giving our guys (pleasegodletithappen) fits, that'll be rescinded in a Deetroit minute.
