We flew into Detroit yesterday and will be at the game tonight and the one Wednesday against the Blues. We'll be in section 219 for tonight's game, and section 121 for the Blues' game. We'll probably be the oldest and (me) the loudest people there. And the Penguins better look out because I've already lost too much money in the slots here. GIT DAOWN, WINGS!!! Ah yezzz. Konstantinov. Still pretty much my favorite Wing because he was medium-sized but absolutely lethal on skates. Meanwhile, Stuart might get my attention if I saw him coming at me.

Good point about Fisher. I know he can't be happy that he's not playing any more but I hope he still feels like he's a real part of the Wings' organization.

I wish I could help. We have Directv and all the Fox sports channels, plus Center Ice, and we don't get TSN, except when Center Ice uses their feed for a game. I've emailed them about that, but so far, no such luck. If the interview is shown later - even on YouTube, could somebody put it on here, please? Mac remains one of my favorite players. Thanks.

Oh gawd, yes to all of the above. I didn't get to see the veteran stars play enough to name any of them, so this would be my list also. Although I might throw in Fetisov instead of Fisher.

Honest, I wasn't being sarcastic. I liked it for a whole lot of reasons. Partly because it put "things" (i.e., my mounting hysteria about this game) in perspective. I also enjoyed reading about your day with your kid. This is important stuff to hear about, any time.

Figures. The chicken s***. My hatred of him has been re-ignited in this game. Cheapshot artist. Really REALLY touch as nails, after the whistle. I'm sure he's been penalized for it, but I've never seen it happen.

He got his head in the way of the other guy's fist. Not good. I've seen at least four calls the refs could have made on Calgary in the first period. And the call on Flip? Too bad his shoulder got in the way of the guy's hand trying to pull him back...And Rafalski literally pulled down? It does not bode well.

It's not being broadcast in HD. They just don't bother to tell you that. When they're at away games, that's usually what we get. It sucks, but there you are.

I finally saw the hit today because espn deigned to talk about it on PTI. As much as I want to see iffy hits reined in, Ovie's hit didn't look all that bad to me. He hit him on his side, not his back. Mebee it was because he was too close to the boards? Dunno, but I've seen lots worse. Any of us here could probably name ten hits that were worse than that that were barely reviewed. Again, I think this goes back to Burke's comment about consequences mostly based on what happens to the hitee. Still isn't the answer. Yep, Campbell needs to go.

This game is going just fine by me. Meanwhile, do we think that was a total fluke with Zetts, Helm and Draper out there together? Maybe it was the mis-timing of the line changes that set up the advantage for us, but I would not mind seeing them out there again mebee once or twice before the night's over.

I think the thing that's confusing me no end right now is that SOMEone on the NHL network said that some/many/whatever(?) owners don't see this as a clear-cut issue. This has to be bulls***. I would assume one could look at the timing of the hit, the angle (ala, behind as opposed to in front or side), and WHERE on the body the target is hit. I firmly believe something has to be done about these potentially dangerous cheapshots and it should not rely on what owners like Burke say - that it depends on the results to the hitee. That doesn't happen in football so why should they even have to consider that in hockey?
