Cleary, no matter what his perceived level of play is, does not play for you. He plays for the Detroit Red Wings team and Mike Babcock ultimately and unassailably chooses who's going to play. So when you say you were willing to give Cleary the benefit of the doubt that's all fine and dandy, but it's also a useless, almost laughable statement. I am done discussing this. Yep. It's all on Danny. Forget the fact that there were consistent and incessant f***-ups all over the ice last night by every one of our guys except Howard. This Cleary crap has become weirdly obsessive and way over-simplistic. And NO. I do not agree that he is consistently the worst player on the ice.

Another way to look at it is that it would really fire him up is he was able to add to the game, even maybe getting an assist.

I haven't read past page 5 on here, but I think the Hawks are getting away with holds, dives and interference. I also think Brunner and Hossa look a lot alike from their profiles. Lastly, I think the NBC camera persons could just get over it and alternate between the Chicago bench and the Chicago players. Why pretend? Right, Eddie O?

Agreed. There is this whole, unending thing where all writers do not suffer the consequences for lies,or stupid, ill-timed statements. He coulda gone a month without laying that out there.
