This has got to be a first. Not one negative post in here about Ozzie or the Wings' goaltending. I am proud to" know" you all.

With all the bitching and moaning on this thread, and taking everything and every player into consideration, I would LOVE to see a real show of hands of those who thought the Wings would do as well as they did in this game. Ain't gonna happen, but I can guess.

I'm gonna keep this real short, partly because it's been a long, iffy day and I'm just too damned tired to duck. But I saw improvement in the Wings' play as the game went on. I saw them not giving up so easily; their passing improved; and they seemed to get more aggressive with the puck as the game progressed. We tied 'em. That's SO much better than what I had envisioned. So the hell with it. I see better days ahead.

They did great at the net on one play. Problem is, it was a good defensive play at their own net.

I intend to make full use of the mute button early and often today. I firmly believe the thumb cramp - as opposed to the brain cramp, gag reflex, and the desire to put my foot through the tv screen - will be well worth it.

This is a very descriptive and apt phrase for a whole lotta posters on here. Nicely put. -
Can't speak for anyone else, but I was referring to all the iron shots. There had to be at least four? And a couple of times, the Predators would have had goals if they'd gotten the puck up a little higher. Lastly, others have referred to the fact that our defense absolutely sucked.. How many breakaways were there last night? Not sure, but I'm thinking there were (once again) too many.

One more time. We need two goalies. Every team carries at least two goalies. And it would be oh so wondrous if they were both prepared to play.

We cannot say that the Wings aren't getting some breaks tonight. And Howard kept them in the game in the first period.

I really, really like this post. The other thing I really appreciate is that Mickey, Murph (and sometimes Ken) are getting ALL over the Wings, and I'm ALL for it.

YES. Other than traffic and screening, it pretty much sucked, eh? And please, PLEASE keep trying that!
