Gotta be Ozzie's fault too.

THANK YOU.

OR, we could knock the bastards screening Ozzie to hell and back? TWO of their guys there. One of ours doing not much more than watching the shooter. Makes the odds interesting, eh?

I'm gonna do my bit and not record the game. I always record the game. And then mostly I've been deleting them immediately afterwards.

Makes sense to me! At least as much sense as how they're playing in the 3rd period!

Yeupp. I probably shouldn't have used "goon" and "idiot" in describing him. Just looked humorous at the time. HOWEVER. NObody was ever cooler, cleaner, more messiah-like (talk about messages given with 2x4's...) than Konstantinov. The very thought that he had anything but good in his heart.... But I'm still glad Boogaard is out. Besides, you'd think he'd learn to hit the goal before he hits opponents?!

<Wikpedia> RE: Derek Boogaard By the end of 2009 Boogaard had played four and a half seasons with the Wild tallying 2 goals (both scored in his first season) and 492 penalty minutes.[2] [edit] Boogaard's knockout of fellow enforcer Todd Fedoruk in a fight during a game against the Anaheim Ducks helped spark debate over increasing the punishment for fighting in the NHL. During this fight, Boogaard landed a brutal punch to the cheek sending Fedoruk to the ice. As a result, Fedoruk had to undergo surgery to reconstruct his shattered cheek using titanium plates. Fedoruk and Boogaard would later become teammates in Minnesota during the 2007–08 season.[3] >>>> As of January 23, 2010, Boogaard has gone 203 games without scoring a goal which is the longest active streak in the NHL. His last goal was scored against the Anaheim Ducks on January 7, 2006.[6]

Read this after I posted my response. Right on. And that definitely includes the Goalie Thing.

I question this statement. If ANYone should be able to motivate the team, it needs to be Babcock. This is not just one or two players that he needs to sit down and talk to. The whole TEAM needs to be at least psychologically shaken up and it.is.not.happening. Who else should be responsible for that?
-
Just want to throw out my condolences to the whole Minnie Wild team for the temporary loss of their idiot/goon. I sure hope it didn't happen when he tried to cheapshot/kill an opponent. Breaks my heart as I'm sure it does theirs.

Nice re-hash of the game, Mikie. NOW HOW THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO CHANGE THINGS? Now some of you can say it's not on Mike. I do not agree. It's on ALL of them, but he is the coach and he'd damn well better start figuring out ways to change their mindset as a TEAM.

yessir.

I agree that neither one of 'em looked too swift. Looking at Marcus's statistics is also proof that statistics can definitely lie, as in Rafalski's play and his +3. I SAW him screwing up, even on my computer monitor. He lucked out more than once last night. I saw him do a 360 in our end and luckily, the puck hit his feet as the Bad Guy was bringing it in.

The part of all this that's really getting scary now is that it could be or become a psychological thing with the Wings. It's happened enough now that at any time during the third period, they start thinking, "Uh oh...can't lose this game", they tense up and lose focus. You can see it happening out there. Even if there's only a possibility that it's happening, Leadership has to come forward now. If Babcock has them start playing some idiot-type prevent defense because he's subconsciously thinking "uh oh" too; or if his thinking shows in his behavior or on his face, then he has to get the hell out of that mode and come up with something really dramatic to break that self-destructive hex. On himself and the team. Maybe all it would take is some silliness and humor, who the hell knows? As in lighten up, ahready! And I agree with those of you who've said somebody who's really respected in the locker room has to maybe not yell, but show some NO MORE OF THIS s*** attitude.

More perspective on this thread. And some more humor too.

Thanks for trying. You can consistently be counted on to add some perspective.
