DEFinitely. I didn't know Zetts had 8 shots on goal, but I wouldn't put it past him. He, Dats, Bert, Eaves, Helm, etc., played with a whole lot of energy and this has nuthin' to do with what you asked, but I was so damn proud of the way they played against the Hotshots de Jour.

Hawks' record was 4-0 going into this OT. Our guys seemed to be amazingly calm, collected and focused. Just couldn't put the puck in the net, but oh boy, they looked good.

Whatever happens; however this game ends I AM SO DAMN PROUD OF THE WAY MY BELOVED RED WINGS PLAYED THIS GAME.

Overall, the Wings are playing a great game and I still say they can win this one. GO, WINGS! GO, JIMMEH!!!

The Wings started shooting the puck at the top of the game. That's a GOOD thing, NBC hacks kept talking about how wondrous the Hawks are on their PP. Nuthin' about how good the Wings are on the PK. That's a typical thing. The crowd is great. I had the feeling that Hawks' fans started screaming their mantra about "Detroit Sucks" and got drowned out by the Wings' fans. LOVE it. Go, crowd. Go, Wings. And yeah. We can beat these arrogant (and talented) a-holes.

Waaay too easy, simple and logical. For whatever reasons, the NHL refs and their bosses have never really seen the need to simplify; to clarify; to investigate or take questionable calls out of the system in any sense. For any reason. Infallibility is their priority. They will never care if us"rabble-rousers" are at the gate, calling for justice. ANY kind of justice. And in time, pro hockey will become just another version of the WWE.

This whole thread is way more uppity than it needs to be. We sure as hell over-reacted when it happened. I, for one, turned the game off when the goal was called good and didn't know about all the stuff that hit the fan afterwards. I don't agree at all that that most of the discussion showed how ignorant we can be as fans. As the original thread moved along we managed to educate ourselves quite well as posters filled in bits of information, thankyouverymuch. So if you haven't stepped off your soapbox yet, you might want to consider doing that now.

If only they'd disagreed to the extent that they had least had a clenched-jawed hissy out there on the ice. It sure as hell would have been a consistent follow-through as refs who'd lost all cred anyway.

I made contact and submitted an email/post. I didn't scream at my screen or spray saliva. I didn't even swear. I don't know if they read those or not, but I had to do something. And I hope you're wrong.
