It's in the link I just posted above! (helllleeeuuu?!) Check out the second to last paragraph in the whole write-up. http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/

Somewhere (...?!) I just read/saw that Holland said yeah, he'll wait to see what next year's cap is and try to work it out for everyone to return. Hossa has also said he'd like a longer contract. If I can find it again, I'll throw it on here.

Here's another interesting background story on Hossa's signing. Sorry if someone's already put it on here. http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/ Even Kopecky helped.

Voila! (That's French for GIT DAOWN AND KICK ASS!!!!!!!!)

Brilliant thought! Shouldn't take an arm and a leg or anybody's firstborn to entice his butt to come back. YAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! :colorspin: :colorbounce: :colorbounce: :colorbounce: :colorbounce: :colorbounce:

Just sat down at the computer, saw the thingie on the front page here, and said exactly the same thing about five times in a row. leave the house to run errands and..... OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...OK, Sundin - one year, good money - live it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Sorry you're having a poopy week, dude. But I'm holding out hope that he might still come to Detroit because of what I've read about him. ...That he's a thoughtful, patient, reasoning type. SO. He knows his age. He knows what's lacking in his sterling career. Yeah, he could sign with Vancouver for all that loot, but I'm hoping that's not what he really wants. What's the one thing he's missed ? Can he get that in Vancouver? I don't THINK so, not even in two years. And if he comes to Deetroit and plays well and stays healthy, who's to say he can't re-sign, or still go with another team? Don't give up hope!

If there were a bobbin-head emoticon saying "YES!', it would be right here. Agreed on any of the three. They'd all play their butts off for the Wings.

Wings out of picture for Sundin, Hossa, Rolston
Vladifan replied to Redwingsfan18's topic in General
I would like to think we're not out of the picture with Sundin. Depends on how much longer he wants to play. If he only wants to play for a year (or so...) AND for a contender, he very well could sign with the Wings. If he thinks he's in there for the longer haul, he'll probably go where he knows he can get a pile of money. I can dream, eh? -
YEEEEHAAAAAA! GREAT news! :colorspin:

Methinks it partly depends on what Stuart decides to do. But either way, I am of the group opinion that says why not give them talented upstart young'ns a chance?
-
Oh yeah. If he does leave now (and I don't want him to either), he will go knowing he laid it all out there to help the Wings win another Cup. He played like a warrior, especially during the playoffs, and he can go out knowing that. I was also thinking about July 1st coming up and about how grateful we Wings' fans can be knowing Holland's in charge. I'm guessing some fans of other teams are dreading the potential stupid moves their managers might make, while we can pretty much look forward with anticipation to what he's gonna pull off. Just one more reason to be grateful we're Wings' fans.

I'm not much into the enforcer thing in general, but one thing I know. We got to go to two home games this year (we live in Texas), and I noticed that at every commercial break - while most of the Wings were either resting up one way or another, Downey was always out on the ice, sort of sprint-skating, keeping on moving. The kid has drive. He has focus. He knows and accepts his role. He has class. And like Mac, I truly believe he was meant to be a Wing.
-
OK, this is probably a dumb question that 9/8ths of you already know the answer to. However...When it's stated that Montreal has exclusive rights for (?? - time period) to bargain with Sundin, does that pretty much seal the deal for both parties? Thanks.
-
Ratz -- I thought you were talking about Colin Campbell... Ah well....I'd rather see Buttman traded to the Lower Slobovia Sledniks, but that ain't gonna happen either....

Hiya - I just ordered this book not five minutes ago, and already received an email reply. I haven't checked my online charge account, but at least I know somebody's out there! Thanks for the heads-up on this to my soul-mate Vladdy 16. :beerbuddy:

PRE-GAME 3: (4/17) Red Wings @ Flames - 10:00 PM EDT
Vladifan replied to aflac9262's topic in General
I LOVE your Bernie the bird shtick. Thanks! Meanwhile, i work at a tax prep franchise, and by gawd I survived the season. So I figure the least that can happen is that the Wings win one for all pooped-out tax prep peeps. I don't think that's asking too much? NOW...into my scuzoidal "Raise Your Hands! 97-98 Playoffs" tee. with the big "16" on the front. It ain't gettin' washed till the Wings are out of it. Lucky for most of you, I live in Texas so the odiferousness shouldn't be a problem. GO, WINGS!!!!! -

Hey, gang: I'm brand new here, but I've been a Wings fan for over 10 years. As for Bertuzzi and Babcock, maybe Babs is playing a Bowman-type mind game with Bertuzzi. Maybe he wants him really fired up when he does play again. Who knows? Now, having replied to this message, I hope I did it right. GO, WINGS!!! Continue to kick butt!
