Crucial game tonight! I hope the Wings come out strong and get an early goal. I'm foregoing exam studying (2 exams tomorrow) to watch this game, so the Wings better win!

My dad seems to think that the rest of the team lets down a bit when Bertuzzi's in the lineup, thinking that he'll pick up their slack. I disagree, but it's a theory nonetheless.

You mean the visor? They mentioned at the beginning that he's wearing a tinted visor to help with the light sensitivity problems that come with concussions.

Going in to the playoffs, the one series I decided was a must-see for me was Ottawa/Pittsburgh. I just HAD to see how well the youngsters in Pittsburgh would handle the playoffs. Now that we're 3ish games in I'm gonna have to go with San Jose/Nashville. Game 1 was a lot of fun to watch, a very exciting game. I'm also excited to see who wins... since they could be a possible opponent for us if we survive Calgary... which adds to the excitement factor.

^^ He's a game-time decision for game 3. (There's a pinned thread at the top of the thread list.) I don't think they're purposely sitting him for the draft picks, but it's gotta be in the back of their minds. Since the team is playing well, they can afford to sit him in hopes that they don't have to give up as much. I'm sure if all the picks were guaranteed... they'd probably lean towards playing him rather than not.

This is a HUGE game! I'm so excited to watch. If the Wings can continue playing the way the have been, initiating hits and getting the puck on the net... then they have a chance to do what few have done this season - win a game @Calgary. If they can pull it off, Calgary is probably finished. But if Calgary can pull through and win at home, where they've been great all season... it could (although, I hope not ) be a turning point in the series. What a storyline! I can't wait for the game tonight!!! Hopefully Flip can net another one.
