It has yet to be seen if Bert can regain his old form. He certainly didn't show it in his brief stint as a wing, however he didn't have much time to get it together either. The ducks are taking a big gamble paying him as if he is still playing as a top forward. I for one am glad that detroit did not take that avenue. Bert may light it up this year, and play like he used to..........but its just (if not more) likely that he'll be an average player or get injured, just as he has for the past few years. Until he shows otherwise, I just don't believe the old Bert is coming back.

........this would be a big problem, as I loudly proclaimed in the mid 90s that "if the mighty ducks ever with the stanley cup, I'm never watching hockey again!" (I'm screwed)

Wow this is great stuff! DUCK POWER!...........(Ha…I mean seriously, listen to yourselves) The ducks have had an easy (the easiest) road to the finals of any team. Yes, they have two very strong defensemen. They also have an decent offense, but nothing really special. The Wings have faced the two toughest teams in the west (if not the league) to play against already…….and won. Old/Soft/Slow can all be thrown out as I believe we have obviously proven those labels incorrect. If you duckys really think you will be rolling right over us, I hope you’re well stocked with Jack Daniels and Pepto…….cus this is going to be upsetting. This will be a good series, could go the stretch. In the end I don’t think the Flying V can even save you.

As usual, no score prediction. I’m really tempted to say “whoever scores the first goal will win this†but we all have seen how that has worked out. It would be nice to see our boys put the biscuit in the basket first though and take the crowd out of it.

I’d rather see Dallas in the second round simply because I think we match up against them much better. If we draw the Sharks I think it will be very similar to the Calgary series, they can be a tough team to play against. That being said, Calgary provided us a nice first round warm up to get our heads in the game. As far as Turco being “hotâ€Â, it think it would be more accurate to say that Vancouver’s offense has been ice cold. I’d like to see what kind of numbers he puts up with the boys in red throwing 50 shots at him a game.

Now that I can agree with. Oh....and yes. Wings fans picking the wings to win, wow a shocker. Every game = no. Most games = yes. (count the trophies.....it happens alot)

I think the wings will settle down a little tonight. The Flames crowd is really tough to play in front of. Bert will play better with his feet a little wet. Z - Dat - Homer line will step it up a notch I'm not calling out a score.........but Wings win by one.

Agreed, the Cleary, Drapes, Malts line should be left alone. Those boys are buzzing.
