On my DirecTV receiver I have the option for 1080i. My TV only goes up to 720p though, and I know they support that. How do you live with a 1080p TV watching SD broadcasts? Everytime I switch to a SD channel my eyes need some major adjusting, haha.

It's a shame that we still have major networks still broadcast just some shows in HD and the rest in SD. By the time we are fully converted to HD (as in 24/7 every channel, every show) the Japanese will likely have gone to some crazy stuff like the Star Trek holo deck where you can watch the game as if you were at the live game.

Oh dang it! I hate Center Ice. I can only subscribe to so much TV! I am already paying $300 a year for Sunday Ticket, I can't justify another $150 for Center Ice or whatever it costs. Sucks...here we go streaming!

I have Versus and FSN-D through the DirecTV Sport Pack. If NHL Center Ice is indeed done for the season, I can actually watch FSN-D. Otherwise, since it is not my local station, it was always blackout when the game was on Center Ice, which is like every game.

I hope St. Louis makes it in, that'd be great. However, I am pretty much set now on figuring we will be playing the Ducks. Part of me says "Bring it on!!!" but another part tells me the matchup will be tough due to travel and the style of play they bring to the table. However, I do want someone to take out Pronger and all matchups will be tough in the playoffs. SO BRING ON THE F---ING DUCKS!

Osgood will go 16-0 as a starter in the playoffs and get 16 SO. You're not a fan if you believe otherwise.

Both Z and D would be excellent choices but I feel that Zetterberg's demeanor and style of conduct on the ice may be more conducive for captaincy. That being said, Dats "acts" a lot more like Lidstrom does: cool, calm, collected, extremely smart. I think it will be Zetterberg but that doesn't take anything at all away from the the tremendous player Datsyuk is and the impact he has on and off the ice. There is no doubt that Z and D are the face of this franchise and even more once Lidstrom steps down.

McLaren's record of being hit by FIA fines and disqualficiations over the past years is staggering! But as far as I am concerned, their own fault. I bet Ron Dennis is glad he is not in charge anymore, though he still sits at the top, of course.

Isn't that gamae on the 6-disc Wings DVD set? Gotta check tonight. If it is, I am watching it again. I am almot 100% sure it's on one of those DVDs. Awesome.

If that what it takes to get people to go to games then those are the people I'd rather prefer staying home. From my experience going to Dallas Stars games, even during the playoffs it took 10 minutes into the first period to finally get the lower bowl filled up with the remaining idiots that got tickets only to get drunk and stare at the ice girls. Great atmosphere... So thanks but no thanks.

Depends on what you favor. I'd favor the guy that can pull twice his weight on defense, produce on offense and has been with the team for 5+ years in a leadership role. Hossa is great and he is a great addition to the team and clearly one of the best players on the team. However, I would be disappointed if Kenny started talking to Hossa first before Z when it comes to handing out big paychecks. Ideally, I would want to keep both but given the choice of just one I'll take Z. Doesn't mean you have to...

I can't imagine Kenny offering Z a 10 year contract. That seems unlike the Wings...4-5 years max and I think $8 Mil may be where it has to end. That's a hell of a pay increase for him and he is worth every penny but the Wings won't become a "One player hogs up all the money" team. I'll take Z over Hossa any day. Remember those 5 on 3s against Pittsburg last year? Yeah....I'll take Z. EDIT: Didn't it read somewhere Huddler is a UFA next year? He's actually a RFA next year...think I read UFA somewhere here.

I always thought the Stars 3'rd jersey logo was absolute failure. What is that supposed to have to do with hockey? Some sort of bull that is seeing stars?? Like he got hit over the head maybe? Or perhaps a connect-the-dots kinda thing? Pure capitalism... The jerseys they had before the current style were atrocious as well. The new style is actually very nice...

Why isn't Tyris Conkgood on there? He's got 29 wins, 4 SHO, 2.5 GAA, 90.2% SV, and 2 Assists. I'd so vote for Conkgood. It's nice that Conklin is on there but really, that's just silly. He's played well and should be our starter until Osgood shows he's better but seriously, nobody on the Wings roster should be mentioned as a candidate for any kind of goalie award right now.

Who's going to the game? Damn, there were TONS of Red Wings fans there last time. Too bad the Wings played a terrible game. Still was awesome hearing "Let's Go Wings" echoing VERY noticeably through AAC. The answer from the Dallas fans was to boo...haha, how lame.

You know, you gotta be damn good...I mean, DAMNNNNN good, to have message boards from other teams try so hard to find reasons for why you should not be named the best defenseman in the league...again. It should really be looked at as a compliment.
