If the Penguins push a game seven, or heaven forbid win the Cup, game 5 will be the game that everyone will point to where Fleury had one of the most legendary performances in Stanley Cup history. I don't care what you think but he had one hell of a game, and not just in OT. Picking his game apart is sensless, he played awesome and should be proud of himself. And of course the announcers are gonna be all over him. Come on, he's like 21 or something, this is an incredible story. They gave Ozzie a ton of credit the last game too, which he deserved.

I would call you a whiner and a fair weather fan at best. This is some of the biggest BS I have ever read on this board. Some fan you are dude.
-
Amen! Go Ozzie and go WINGS!!!
-
I mean the Chelios that even I could beat skating from one end of the rink to the other. Chelios is too slow to keep up with half of the Pittsburg team, he would be just as much a liability as Lilja.
-
Oh yeah, and your point is super hyper awesome. Cause it makes so much sense to jump on Osgoods case after a win and to lift him to the high heavens after a loss. Sure...is that how you approach other things in life? Yikes...
-
Isn't Chelios and fresh legs by definition an oxymoron.
-
You probably put WAY too much facial hair on it. I can send you one of the whiskers from one of my cats...that ought to be enough for a Crosby voodoo doll.
-
The funny thing is that this is exactly what Osgood had to go through his entire career. Just imagine you were in your job and one day you are about to be promoted and the next they want to fire you. And this goes on for years and years and years. Perhaps think how fair that would be or how it would make you feel. Gotta love Ozzie though, he takes it with such stride -- he should give all of you whiners a butt whopping for dissing him all the time when we lose.

Hey, you find me the NHL player that never makes a single mistake all season and I will chip in to pay him. I don't understand being hung up on one play, it makes no sense. I guess that is why I lke Ozzie so much, he realizes that the past can't be changed and you shouldn't bother stewing over it. Franzen knows he could have cleared that better but placing blame on a single player...way to talk about a team sport.
-
I meant his chances in OT, but yes, I believe he did score the first goal.
-
Read past that first sentence you are quoting me on and you shall receive answers.
-
You're blaming Ozzie for this one? Come on man, get real. Which goals did Osgood look like he should have had them. The OT goal was screened an a nice shot right over the glove. If he gets it, it'll make ESPNs Top 10 plays of the day, if he doesn't well, what difference does it make. Ozzie made the stops that he needed to do. Defense had too man periods of time where they were asleep and just standing around. Stop blaming people and give Pittsburg credit, they played outstanding. We failed to score on our numerous chances and this is what happens when you fail to do that.

One play doesn't win the game just as one play doesn't lose it. I bet you $1 that if you rewind 30 seconds before that, you could find another something where someone made a mistake that wouldn't have even led to Franzen needing to clear the puck. Which is the precise reason why it makes no sense to even harp on about it. You win as a team and you lose as a team. I am sure Hudler will have a hard time finding sleep tonight, these kinds of penatlies will, quite literally, kill you.

Guess this mission was a failure as well...not even close to the amount of visitors needed...Wednesday maybe.
-
Refs didn't decide this game by any stretch of the imagination. However, it should be noted that the first 2 OTs were the worst two periods of refeering in the entire playoffs. Even NBC said that those were absolutely outrageous calls.
-
I would be more inclinded to say...Dear Franzen, why didn't you put one of those awesome chances you had in? Of course I could say the same about Sammy, or Helm, or Flip, Dats...if you miss that many chances in OT you just won't win. Give credit to Pittsburg, to have Gonchar out for most the game, on the road, in OT, facing the end of the line...they showed tremendous composure and the will to fight adversity. Fleury played legendarily tonight. The Wings played an outstanding game and put themselves in a position to win...multiple times. Blaming one player is ridiculous.
-
I'll second that...this is exhausting even when watching on TV...can't imagine how tired the players are by now!
-
I'll be here...I am going to be ordering my Stanley Cup Champions gear after the game anyway! I am probably jinxing it...
-
Lol, so who the heck replied to this thread after we won game 4...shame on you...I thought it was new.
-
Wow, that's $20 to pay towards bail....nice.
-
There is some truth to what you are saying, but man, it's a bit exaggerated, don't ya think?
-
Have you taken your meds today? Chelios hasn't even played in the final yet! Draper would be a great captain but then so is Lidstrom -- what the hell is wrong with you guys wanting a new captain?? We are one win away from the Stanley Cup and you want to get someone else with the C? Some of you are worse than Dallas Cowboys fans...

You must have a long way to go then, because your short definition of socialism is more in line with how an opponent of socialism would define it, rather than how a political scientist would. Relating it to the hockey game was pretty funny though.

I think Versus calling it a "Pitch-fork move" was a more accurate interpretation. Gill should have gotten a penalty for pitchforking.
