definitely not! c5 show 1 "as-live" game per week in the regular season and the first 3 rounds of the playoffs. but for the SCF they show all the games live.
-
well i guess with sammy scoring 3 goals in 3 games we need a new scapegoat the wings did not lose last night because of lilja; they lost because they did not play for 60 minutes. when they actually bothered to play - at the start of the 1st and in the 3rd - they dominated the pens. the only wing to come out of last night's game with much credit is franzen.
-
the games are also being shown on channel 5 so as long as you have access to any tv then you will be able to watch the games. still haven't found a bar to watch the games though - as it is on channel 5 you might be able to get a bar to put the game on for you but it is a risk which is why i always watch the games at home. there is no way i want to take the chance at being stuck unable to watch the game.

poor effort by the wings tonight - they are very lucky that they are still alive in this one. but right now it is a one goal game so we need to come out fast and put some pressure on fleury. if we can get the next goal then we could crush their spirit. LETS GO RED WINGS!!
-
meh. i just think that most neutral hockey fans and reporters would like to see a more competitive series. i know if i was a neutral then i would be rooting for the pens to make a series of it.
-
the wings are the number one offensive team in the league. the only thing that is boring about the 1st two games has been how one-sided they have been.
-
well the wings have 3 very good checking lines and 2 very strong defensive pairs so babs does not need to be overly concerned with matchups. it also helps that the wings are such a great face-off team so even if they do get caught with an undesirable match-up then more often than not they will gain possession of the puck straight from the face-off and be able to get a quick change.
-
i am not worried because the wings have been playing so well but (as always before a playoff game) i am really nervous - not as nervous as i was for games 1 and 2 though.
-
if the wings carry on playing the way they did in the final 40 minutes then it is going to be a very short series. but the pens are still a dangerous team and if the wings' play drops then they have the ability to take advantage. and there is nothing that says the refs can't screw the wings again
-
it was a great game by the wings. but it is only 1 win and they need to do it again tomorrow. the pens showed in the 1st period just how dangerous they can be - they just did not manage to finish the plays on this occasion.
-
wow!!! the refs really want the pens to win
-
oh man!!!!!! it is raining quite heavily in london atm and my satellite feed has gone! am stuck on crappy internet feed now
-
agree with all that. lebda's play has been a nice surprise and i would say that the debate now is who should partner him on the 3rd d-pairing. as for mccarty - what makes his play even more annoying is that he is not even playing physical. atm he is a liability and even if franzen cannot come back i would rather see abdelkader, downey or hartigan playing instead of mac.
-
ooh second place DET/PIT: 4-2 thanks for all the work NFM - it is much appreciated
-
well he did miss game 4 of the avs series with a "lower body injury". maybe it is still bothering him? IMO he was pretty awful at the start of the playoffs but (the game 5 brainfart notwithstanding) he has certainly improved his play recently. he is one of our best PKers and with limited ice time he is still a valuable player at the moment. i would still play him tonight but if he sucks and we lose then bench him for wednesday.
-
you seem to be forgetting about the unbelievably weak call that gave the wings a 5-on-3 which allowed them to score the 1st goal of the series. who knows what the series would have been like had the wings not been gifted the early lead? if the wings manage to lose this series then it will be because they weren't good enough.
-
as far as i know
-
huge game tonight. if the wings win it is just about all over but if the stars win then they are right back in it, especially with the doubts over franzen's availability for the rest of the series.
-
very good 1st period. maltby has done very well - he has shown a lot of energy, played physical and drew the penalty for the 2nd goal. as much as i love d-mac, i am glad to see malts back. as poor as his regular season play has been the last few years, he really steps it up come playoff time
-
he is definitely the one player on the stars that i am the most worried about. he has been immense in the playoffs so far - he leads the stars in hits and goals. a lot of those goals were big goals too - he has been the definition of clutch. EDIT - i think i heard someone say that he leads the whole nhl in playoff hits with 66?
-
it seems like forever since the wings last played - the long time between games has made me even more nervous. tonight is a huge game - if the wings win it then i think it could be a pretty straightforward series. if the stars win then it will be a real battle. so with that in mind: wings 4 (zetterberg 2, cleary, rafaslki) stars 2 (modano, zubov)
-
i agree - though i think the game works well as it is now too. but i would say that seeing as i am third DET/DAL: 4-2 PIT/PHI: 4-3
-
same here in th UK. gotta be up for work in a few hours but as long as the wings win it will be well worth it
-
i am not trimming it at all - just letting it grow wild and free

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
