I think that's my biggest argument for removing the instigator penalty. Even if the cheapshots aren't proven to be reduced, we would at least see more of that "street justice" going on where players get what's coming to them in a "clean" drop the gloves way.

I really hope Bert's season tanks so that Burke looks like an idiot and Holland looks like a genius. Imagine how Florida fans must feel. They gave up freakin Luongo for a guy that played like 4 games on their team. Ouch.

I agree that he's too expensive for it to make sense for the WIngs, especially since A: based on the UFA market last summer some team will overpay anyway B: he's on the downward slope methinks

Good job with the run. Running is something I really have trouble doing. Thank god for cardio machines and hiking. I slacked a bit over the weekend, but not too bad. I'll get back on track at the gym tonight. Exercise is officially a habit/daily routine for me now.

Careful exercise/diet people. The danger season has begun. Keep the good habits you've formed. Easier said than done, but I'll be trying to myself.

Yeah I agree. That's why i edited my post to say TRY to get him . He'll definitely get picked up. Basically getting a rental goalie for a cheap salary and giving up nothing to acquire him. Christmas is coming early for one GM.

Now I will preface this by stating that A: I have never been a Hasek fan- hell some of you may remember the Paralyzed Snow Angel of Defeat debacle B: I am one of the many saying "play Ozzie as much as possible for as long as that hot streak continues" But even I am surprised at the backlash toward Dom. I can't stand his floppy style of play,. he makes me nervous every time he starts.... BUT still, it's waaaay too early IMO to be saying he sucks. Like somebody else stated earlier, if it were January/February and his SP% was still sub-90% I'd say he's done.......... But it's only November.

To me it's pretty simple. Ozzie is still red hot while Dom has been struggling. It's still only mid-November. Why not play the hot goalie? If Dom is the consummate team player that a lot of you say he is, him sitting the bench a bit more for now shouldn't be an issue. With 60 games left or whatever ,there is plenty of time to see who earns the #1 spot.

Maybe it's my assoiciation with the '97 Cup win in Detroit with the white jerseys, but I gotta go with white all the way for home. When they switched to dark colors being home I almost wondered if it was another "fan friendly move" to keep casual fans from being confused (NFL -darks are home- I have no idea about the NBA though...) I also think the white jersey looks better.

Maybe he's average in the regular season- I dunno since I don't make it a habit to watch the Ducks... but he has stolen his share of playoff games. Hell, he was a huge reason the Ducks made it to a Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals against NJ a few years back. He even won the Conn Smythe that season.... He doesn't wow with acrobatic saves becuase he doesn't need to since he is so rarely out of position. That all said I hate the Ducks! (at least Pronger, Getzlaf and Perry)

He'd be a great addtion to the team..... but I would be shocked as hell if he decided to sign in Detroit. But what do I know?
