I wasn't very impressed with Hasek in this series. He had some huge stops, but a lot of "what the hell" moments too. He had a good regular season and pretty solid playoff run, but the goals tonight where he just laid there on his back, not even looking for the puck.. those are the times you need your goalie to be clutch and steal a game. He didn't lose it for us, but he sure didn't win it for us either. Of course the rest of the team not showing up for the first 40 minutes didnt help... Could be an interesting off season

What a season. Well done Wings. A damn shame more bounces didn't go our way, but that is playoff hockey. If it wasn't for Pronger I'd be very OK with losing in the WCF. That burns me a little, but I'll be a Sens fan the rest of the season. Plus it would be cool to see a Canadian team win the Cup again. And hats off to Giguere and the Ducks. A well played series. And I hope this offseason they sign Bert and Calder. I'd love to see what those two, healthy, could do in a Wings jersey.

Maybe because they like talking hockey, and this site is good for that, usually. I'm finally getting nervous for tonight. I hope the the Ducks left all their lucky bounces somewhere on the flight back. I'd really love a repeat of Game 3.

I'm so jealous of your trip to Cedar Point. Haven't been there in years- I think it's time for a trip back to MI and Sandusky. And of course, GO WINGS!!!!

I busted out the xbox and "previewed" the game. 3-1 Wings. Three stars- Lidstrom, Flip, Bert. - Xbox never lies.... unless Bert doesn't play... GO WINGS!!!

I hope the Wings sign him for a 1-2 year contract to see what he can do. And I really hope he is able to play tonight and make an impact.

Yeah I was pissed off all night after that game. When the Ducks scored with 47 seconds left I almost threw my chair through my window. When they scored in overtime I just collapsed into the carpet. It's a long wait until tomorrow night where hopefully the Hockey Gods smile on the Wings and they get some lucky bounces. After owning periods 2 & 3 - minus that last 90 seconds... and OT... man it sucked to lose. I'm still confident about Game 6 too. This series has been way too tight for the the Wings to lose three straight games. Plus the two goals the Ducks scored were the type I don't see the Wings and Hasek giving up again. Tuesday night should be interesting.

For me the Ducks with Niedermayer, Pronger, possible hot goaltending and really physical play give me a little concern, but I think the Wings can make a very strong run.

I'm not what you'd call a fan of Hasek by any means, he's bugged me since his days in Buffalo. I even started a thread bitching about him lying on his back instead of covering the net. And I don't think he had a very good game last night. All that being said, I still think he's our best option in net. Overall this playoff year and regular season he's been pretty dang good. A few times a game he gives me a heart attack, but quite a few times a game our defense as a team gives me a heart attack and he saves our ass. He's been one of the best players on the team just about every game. I don't like him, but I love him in net for the Wings (as much as I hate to admit that). I think he'll come out pissed in Game 5 and basically refuse to lose back to back games. Ozzie has been good for us in the past, and does an admirable job in net, but Hasek is our #1 goaltender, no doubt.

Yeah, he finally had a less than good game. To me that means he'll be pissed and ready for Game 5. Sucks to lose after playing well most of the game and blowing the great opportunity. Damn it all! Still, 2-2 is not a bad place to be overall.....

Whew. I'm glad it's even. The Wings seem to have had the upper hand the last few minutes. The "tripping" call certainly helped our cause, but the Ducks got a "gimme" penalty right after ours. 20 mins and two more DET goals methinks. Man going back to the Joe 3-1 would be sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

Dang. They started out looking decent, but lost some steam as the period went on. Good thing there is 40 more minutes of hockey left for them to come back. I've got faith that they can do it. If they don't, 2-2 going back to Detroit was still what I was hoping for at the start of the series. That said, they can absolutely still win this one. edit for confusing grammar.

And don't forget Keanu Reeves with his attempt at a French Canadian accent as the crazy goalie. I love the part in the weight room where they are lifting weights in their breezers??? Anyway.... Lets do this! GO WINGS!!!

Since '94 when I started watching hockey (grew up in AZ with MI parents). Much respect to those that stayed with them in the Dead Wings era. I was playing with GI Joes back then. haha.

You might have to take one for the team and pee on that ducky toilet seat. If the boys repeat their effort from Tuesday I can see this going our way. Although I doubt that Scott Niedermayer and the Ducks will have two bad games in a row. We took it to them, but I am sure none of them were happy with the effort on Tuesday. Victory is not guaranteed because Pronger is out, but what an opportunity. Last GDT was the first time I made a prediction (DET 2-0) so why not try again. 3-1 Wings take it. Lets Go Wings!!!

That would not be cool. I really really really want this one to go to 7. Not likely, but c'mon! Only one Game 7 so far this year? I want more, and not with the Wings, at least not this round.
