I voted for Pronger. As some have mentioned Pronger actually is a dirty player who has shown on mulitple occasions the intent to injure. Crosby has been hyped since he was like 12- I think he's handled all that pressure decently well overall. Sure he's made some dumbass moves including diving and whining, but most of those are pretty commonplace in the NHL and just maginified since it's Crosby doing it. Plus I think that a lot of his reputation was earned his rookie year when he was still a teenager. Give him a little more time to mature and ignore the NHL marketing best you can and he isn't as annoying.. at least to me.

I say good on both of em. Carcillo gets the NYR's best offensive threat off the ice for 5, and Gaborik stands up for himself (albeit slightly ill-advised).. And say what you want, but I'd trade a Carcillo for a Maltby in a heartbeat (well not a heartbeat, I mean Maltby does the PK, but you're pickin up what I'm puttin down...)

Assuming he keeps up this level of play up to the Olympic break, I'll be curious to see what/if any effect the down time will have on him.

While that interference call was terrible, I also forgot that Burrows pulled Duncan Keith's hair (1:20) in a fight. I found it pretty funny that Bradley pretty much beelines it from the bench to Steve Downie like that. However, I was curious to finally see how AO would do in a fight. Anyway, what do you guys think about Bradley racing over and jumpin in like that? I like Ovechkin but at some point, with his style of play he'll need to answer the bell (which he appeared willing to do). *damn it, spelled his name wrong in the title!!

I agree that Boogaard should have kept his mouth shut to the press- too much of players talking to the press about stuff they shouldn't IMO. Regardless if it was Vigneault's or Bolduc's idea to fight Scott it was a HORRIBLE idea. Haven't seen a fight this onesided in some time. I think it's kinda funny how he's been doing that- although I do wish he was at least a better fighter. If it fires up Team USA even a little then good, as they need allllll the help they can get next month.

I enjoyed that thouroughly. Anybody that's been part of a championship team can definitely appreciate that a lil extra.

Agreed. I had to watch a justin.tv stream of it and it was more entertaining than a lot of the Stanley Cup Playoff games I watched last year.

Well he is so incredibly dynamic and electrifying.. there are only so many superlatives available... -and I actually like both AO and Crosby (to a degree)

If he ever wins The Cup (which I expect he will), that man is going to EXPLODE with joy, he won't know which part of the boards to climb and dance on.

I don't think ironic is the right word, but it is very interesting that Canada loses to USA with a backbreaking goalie error (Fluery 04, Allen 5th goal tonight) -not the game winner tonight but still, that goal was ROUGH!

For being the main trash talker in the thread I at least expected ref bias excuses or all Vancouver 2010 talk.... Edit- no doubt Eberle proved his mettle. But lets hope he isnt the next Mr. Clutch like Drury (I'm honestly a bit surprised Drury is going to Vancouver) And for "completely buckling" they did a good job of WINNING

As soon as they traded Clark I assumed this was the next move. However, without being inside that locker room, I have no idea how good this move is. While he is the most talented player on their team, that iis far from the only requirement for a team captain. For example, IMO, Crosby was given the responsibility of the C a lil too early.. although they did win The Cup with that C on his chest, those first years of him as captain, i didnt buy it... edit- spelling

That was a great game! That OT easily rivaled some SCF OT's I've watched. Way to go USA!!! Hard work paid off!!! USA! USA! USA! now if only Vancouver would go that way...

I agree with all said above, but after the US favored calls early, I was just waiting for Canada to get some calls their way later in the game..

What a crazy game. IMO, not looking great for USA, gave up 2 goals pretty fast and playing in Canadia against a better team... But you never know, like I said, crazy game!
