Game 6 2008 No hockey on TV, but this is something to tide some of us over.

I picked the "stop the conspiracy theory" one but my first choice would be "they are screwing up/missing calls for both teams". Hell they are human, it's gonna happen. I just want them to be consistent. I'd bet there is a similar thread on any Pens fan site claiming an NHL conspiracy favoring the Wings to win again....

Agreed. While I'm all about ESPN covering hockey... not those two..... There have been missed calls on both sides. I say the more 5 on 5 hockey, the better.

That's just not going to cut it. Surprising since they've been so good in the third normally.

I say put him in for the faceoffs and the fact that he scored a goal with his FACE last WCF. We could use that!

I missed the incident you are referring to.. but unless it was something crazy, I'd say that Fluery is much more likely to have a meltdown than Ozzie. Look at the two Pens losses... each game, a young star Pens player quite visibly lost their cool. Now look at the end of Game 3. Wings lose a frustrating one but nobobdy throws a tantrum of any sort. Hate to use the word "experience"... but......

I've always taken this "award" as a bit of a joke since it is picked by one dude (a player I've never liked to boot). Do I care who Messier thinks is the best leader? Nope. One thing I've always found funny about leadership discussions is this; without being in the locker room, on the bench, at the practices, the training sessions, on the road, team dinners, meetings, game film, etc... how do outsiders have much room to judge leadership beyond the on ice performance? This almost seems more like a popularity contest.

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of 5 on 5 hockey in the first two games. That's how playoff hockey should be in my book. Well damn, I hope they stick around. The K-Wings are actually what turned me into a hockey fan!

I can only imagine the reaction on here if Crosby does something that really does warrant criticism. Yikes! That presser and very light tap was nothing to write home about. If anything it made almost like him a little bit.... or at least hate him a little less

Haven't read the whole thread (it's 2am here), but watching Crosby's post game comments.... no issue here....not sure what the big deal is....

I will say that Malkin is fun to watch, Crosby does have a pretty damn good job of reading plays and finding himself open at the crease a helluva lot. And huge props for firing Therien. Dan Bylsma is a vast improvement and a MICHIGAN NATIVE.

Great to see the Hawks in the playoffs again (even though I hate them), you guys deserve a good team there (even though I dislike most Hawks fans too haha). I expect these playoff meetings to pretty much be an annual event now.

I think every fan of their home team, to some degree feels slighted in the media in some way. The thing is, this is the same group of people that seemingly pick the Sharks to win every year... I really don't give a s***e what they say at this point.

Yeah! I'm pretty much the only one there that's not originally from Michigan too. The place is a bit of a dive, but it's taken over by Wings fans so it works out. There are usually two euchre games going on too. haha.

I know of two places off the top of my head. Governor's Park 672 Logan St Denver, CO 80203 and The Kentucky Inn 890 S Pearl St Denver, CO 80209 Govs Park is definitely the nicer place, but I'll be at The Kentucky Inn with 20 other Wings fans, we pretty much take over this place (dive bar). You should come out if you can!

How did Ray Emery's KHL season go? Beyond him, I could see Marty Turco putting up a decent fight.

I was thinking about adding some of those in too. Same with "twirl" and "pitchfork". But I do have to work tomorrow...haha. Two words. Awesome.
