Ovechkin vs. Zetterberg/Datsyuk was what I wanted this year. That would have been ******* awesome, and I don't think I would have been as bitter about them winning it as I am the Pens, since I actually love to watch Ovechkin play.

Franzen's OT goal to eliminate the Flames... such a bittersweet ending. And it was like 1AM here in Michigan, and I had my screen door open in my apartment... I said, "YYEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!" and jumped up once it was over. Such an awesome moment, and a huge relief.

Yes, even if this series ends Tuesday night, I am not scared for next year. Dom will be back (I believe, he will want the Cup again even more), and this young team, I love watching them. We'll be back.

What makes me feel a little better is that if Lidstrom's stick was turned just a little bit the other way, this wouldn't have happened. And that if Lilja didn't turn it over, we at least could have extended OT some more to win. It's nothing the Ducks did... it's the things we did. If we don't make those ticky-tack mistakes, we can defeat the Ducks.
