Nick Lidstrom retires after 20 seasons
puertoricanWingsfan replied to ogreslayer's topic in Hall of Fame
Truly the end of an era... One of the greatest living legends in hockey history. The very picture and personification of class and skill. I'll sure miss watching you Nick -
Shea Weber fined for Zetterberg "headslam"
puertoricanWingsfan replied to Manny>Ozzie(by a long shot)'s topic in General
He absolutely deserves the suspension that he won't ******* get. ******* s***head -
I've had the privilege of seeing Sheahan play in person, and he's an incredible talent. I was sitting in the second row watching him play, and from a physical perspective, he just stands out among the guys. I'm hoping he turns into something awesome for the Wings.

couldn't have said it better myself. I'll be really heartbroken if he never plays again

As soon as that happened, I jumped up off my couch and yelled "BOOOOOM *****!!" My wife wasn't too thrilled since she was napping. Hopefully she didn't think I was talking to her...

He's just saying that to the media. I'm sure behind closed doors it's different. He also pretended that he didn't know that Datsyuk didn't take a single faceoff in the game. He's just being coy.

puertoricanWingsfan replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
right after we finished killing the four minute power play (which was a terribly unlucky bad break). f***in pisses me off. -
Just echoing what's already been said... Our PK will be the deciding factor of the series. FWIW, I phuckin hate the sharks.

Who should we Keep? Release? Sign?
puertoricanWingsfan replied to Paul MacLean's Mustache's topic in General
Definitely NOT Bertuzzi. I'd take Kristy Yamaguchi over Todd Bertuzzi. -

Someone please explain to me HOW Bertuzzi can be considered one of our best players this series. Cuz I don't get it. Constant turnovers, inability to control the puck in the offensive zone, skating as slow as a peewee... Tell me how he's been good? -

The boys looked great last night... Our big names were playing big games. That's exactly what we need -
WCQF Game 2 GDT: Red Wings 7 at Coyotes 4
puertoricanWingsfan replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
phew... I thought I was gonna have a heart attack during this game... -
If anything this made me hate him more. The little ***** gets the story book ending for team canada? f*** that. He's one of the best players in the world. Don't get me wrong. But he won't earn my respect unless he purposely breaks both of his own knees.

I ******* hate losing to that ***** crosby. It makes me more angry than anything on earth -
That would be true except that that team fully of classy, soft players has been a dominant force in the western conference for quite some time now. There are plenty of teams full of tough players that keep getting punked by Dats, Z, and the rest of the classy, soft players on our roster

First things first. You don't know me. and I never said anything implying that I've never made a mistake in my life, not that my life is even one bit relevant to the game of hockey. But let's get one thing straight: there's a difference between a mistake and a pre-meditated action. After a mistake you say, "oops! My bad! I didn't mean to do that. I spelled your name with a 'c' instead of a 'k.'" A pre-meditated action is when you considered the ramifications of what you were about to do, and you did it anyway. Don't even try to make the foolish mistake of putting all the blame for the Moore incident on the coach. Did the coach have blame, certainly. But there's a reason why Crawford told Bertuzzi to do it: He knew that Bert was a GOON. Here's the next thing: You don't know me. As a matter of fact, I am NOT in the crowd of people complaining that Datsyuk has no protection. I happen to be in the crowd of people that says our team has done just fine without a goon patrolling our ice. And I don't care if Bertuzzi scores FORTY goals this season. I'm still not going to be, how did you say it, firmly planted on his beanbag, which you already seem to be. I'll appreciate his goal contribution, but I still won't like him. If the Wings ever signed Chris Pronger, there'd be plenty of people who feel the same way. That was indeed a different time and a different coach, but he's still a classless goon. Long story short, I'm not a moron. Just a fan who is actually concerned about the public image of his favorite franchise. as for the curling quip, curling would probably be a better sport for you to watch. It's all about sweeping. And you my friend, are sweeping the truth under the rug.
