Osgood is much more structured goalie than Hasek, but in the last few games Ozzie has been making some unorthodox saves. That's why I compared him to Hasek

Zetterberg, who is a forward, has been playing INCREDIBLE defense on Crosby. In doing so, he proved to me why I would take Z over Crosby 7 days a week. Crosby is a scorer. That's all he is. You never hear "Crosby has been shutting down (fill in the blank of great player) all night!" The impact that Crosby makes is ONLY on the scoreboard. Z on the other hand makes an impact on the scoreboard, and plays good enough defense to have consistently shut down one of the greatest scorers in the league. Game. Z.

Players like Adbelkader prove the merit of the Wings staff. They pick the right players to add depth, train them properly, and place them in the right situations. Abdelkader, Helm, Ericson, all those young guys. Love 'em.

agreed. This team is a dynasty without question, even if they don't win the cup. Even though I hate the university of Southern California with all of my heart and soul and the very mention of their name brings bile and vomit to my mouth, I can't deny that they're a dynasty. They're competing for the championship EVERY YEAR. Nobody is like that. It's the same thing with the Wings. Even if we don't win, we're damn close. and WE are the team to beat every season. that spells dynasty folks.

I'm willing to bet that there's no one who hates the Wings more than Quenville. He just can't beat us! As for his style clashing with Scotty's, I completely agree. Scotty was crafty and sly, (e.g. he used to have the opposing locker room freshly painted the day before a game), but he was never classless and whiny like Q. I foresee them tossing Q soon.

Helm is one of the hardest working players on the ice, every single shift. No one drives to loose pucks like he does. He's gritty, he's fast, and he plays his ass off every shift. I love the kid. He deserves every bit of the glory he's getting now

and might I add one more thing? Watch the way that Havlat skates. He skates with his head down! He got killed by Kronner the first time and got knocked unconscious. Kronner hit him AGAIN in today's game, and the reason is: Havlat wasn't watching where he was going. Skate with your head up, and you don't get killed. simple hockey.

as it has been stated before on this thread, Chelios has a different role on this team, and this team is built entirely on the roles that every player plays. Cheli's role is as a #7 or #8 Dman, and as a vocal locker room presence for the younger players. He provides much needed veteran leadership. He's 47 years old for goodness sake. If you expect him to be playing 10-15 minutes a game, you're out of your mind

As for the rest of your post, I never said that what Getzlaf did by showing respect at the end was wrong. He did the right thing. All I'm saying is that no one should crown him as a saint for doing what he is SUPPOSED to do. Big whoop. We're giving the guy a pat on the back for doing something everyone does? Gimme a break. And for the record, the Wings were at the losing end of the vast majority of the glaring officiating errors in this series. When the Wings complained about calls, we had a right to do so. Case in point, the end of game 3. Getzlaf on the other hand was moaning about Wings supposedly diving, or complaining when calls weren't going his way, even though the vast majority of the calls WERE going his way. If I was a Wing, I'd shake his hand and pat him on the back at the end of the series, like I'm supposed to. I'd give him the respect he deserves as a great hockey player. But I wouldn't expect anyone to call me Mother Theresa for doing so.

He's the hardest working player on the ice, IMO. The guy hustles to every loose puck like there's one minute left in the third. He's earned every bit of my respect
