I've been saying since the beginning of the playoffs that Hank is a much better player than Crosby. I wished that he would get more credit. Looks like he got all the credit he deserved

As soon as we picked up Drake this season, I thought to myself, "Man it would be nice to get him a cup." I couldn't be happier for the guy. I can only imagine how awesome this is for him after so long! I'm a little biased in saying this, but this is even better than the year that Ray Borque won his cup

Haha I don't know what you guys are talking about... I'm the kind of fan who paces constantly, jumps up and down repeatedly, and runs circles around the couch when I'm excited. Looking back over the playoffs, I've probably run or walked about 90 miles. Now that sweet victory is ours, I'm going to sleep with a smile of satisfaction on my face... I can finally relax and breathe!!

I say the Wings win tonight because experience prevails over emotion in a seven game series. Fleury can only do so much against the Red Machine, and he can only stop them for so long before he breaks. Wings win because of early scoring, and 3 periods of defense. Wings win 3-1 final.

ok. Let me give my two cents on this one: No rational person can deny that Crosby is an awesome player. He is extremely talented, has great vision, excellent puck handling and natural ability. He is in the upper echelon of the hockey world without a doubt. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. I have watched and listened with absolute disgust as the media has made him out to be the greatest thing since Gretzky. Scott Burnside even had the audacity to compare the penguins to the 1980's Oiler's squad. I couldn't believe the gall. The 80's Oilers were one of the greatest teams in hockey history, and the very definition of a dynasty. How you can even mention the Penguins in the same sentence before they win a Cup is completely beyond me. The same is true for the comparison of Cindy Crosby and Gretzky. Let's wait til the kid builds a dynasty, revolutionizes the sport and brings the continent together in a collective gasp of awe before we put him and Gretzky in the same sentence. That being said, Crosby isn't even the greatest player in the world either. He's not the best scorer (I'd give that to Ovechkin), he's not the best passer (that one is up in the air) and he's not the best skater (probably Gaborik). And let's not ignore the fact that he's nowhere near the top in terms of defense. He's not a hitter, and cries whenever he gets hit. (And as long as we're talking about getting hit, Gretzky rarely ever got hit because he knew how to skate around hits; much better than Crosby). Crosby is not a complete player, and thus is not the greatest. Great? absolutely. Greatest? Not even close.

I can hardly wait to hear all the whining and complaining about how the "only reason the wings won is because the avs didn't have forsberg and statsny." We all know it's coming so, be prepared. But what I want to know is this: where's the mighty Joe Sakic? Where's Milan Hejduk? Where's Adam Foote? Where the HELL is Jose Theodore, and all of the rest of the guys that sit on the Avs bench? Come playoff time, your entire team has to step up. You can't just rely on the skills of one or two players. Without depth, you lose series. Our leading scorer in the playoffs is Johan frickin Franzen. A second liner. Our leading assist getter is Kronwall. As the playoffs have progressed, our bench is stepping up the pace and getting the job done. The avs need to stop bitching and do the same.
